so as i mentioned in the other thread, i have an 06 charger r/t (automatic).

a "guy" i know bought that mitsubishi lancer evolution blah blah turbo gay car.

now i know he could destroy me in any type of race as is, which is fine.  i didn't buy my car for speed, i bought it for a penis extension.

now, i want to smash him some more.

now...do i put a turbocharger in my car, along with the cold air intake, new exhaust, etc. (i say about 10k total after labor) and pwn him, or do i put up with his shit for another year, buy the camaro SS/z28 type whatever they decide to do, get that in stickshift, factory supercharged? 

or do i give him the shit eating grin and key his car when he's not looking?

I'd say new car. Dodge's aren't known for good re-sale value so dumping 10K into one doesn't make any sense.

i agree.  plus it really really bothers me that my car's a 4 door for some reason.

ideally, i'd like to find a 67 fastback mustang body or a ss chevelle body from that era and start from scratch.

but since in live in Chicago, it's hard to find a "west side customs" type place that'll fix one up for me.  there's a few mexican shops around here, but it seems like they spend 90% of their time just painting cars.  my only option is a place that pumps up rice burners, but i wouldn't trust them either.

just get a used sportbike for around $3,000 and you will save alot of money and have a 10 second vehicle.if you go the blower route you have to worry about shortblock longevity (crank,rods,and pistons) so if you wanted any more than around 10-12 psi of boost on the charger would need a new shortblock($4000-$6000)then you will need a whole new fuel system(injectors,pump,reflash ecm around $2000-$3000) not to mention dyno times then you would need a stall convertor or you will fry that automatic tranny.and if you wanted to launch the vehicle you would need at least 31 spline rear axles.and then there is the blower itself which if i were you i would go with a procharger pisc($4000-$6000) and then there is still your exhaust and labor prices to look at,not to mention you void your warranty and you have to use premiume fuel or HIGHER............see were i am going with this
