Agreed with the two above, I can't call it.  One thing though, is that any outside interference, or anything which results in both the streak and the career staying intact, would be an insult to the fans.  We've all watched both of them for years, we watched them go at it last year, and now the stakes are set so high, it just wouldn't be fair.
The major question in thismatch is if someone loses, which of these two wrestlers is willing to lose to a clean finish to the other???

And if they're not willing, who has the backstage power to overrule the other?!

So a Taker win then?!

 ;D

If Shawn loses because of outside interference, it will give him a reason to return later and Taker can keep the streak.

That being said, I feel that a less than clean victory in Taker's final WM appearance would be a bit lame.

Well they're building this match up really well and they are defiantely making sure that no story lines leak out.

Then again, how many "career ending matches" have we seen where the person comes back 5-6 months down the road? It happened with Savage & Warrior. It happened with Michaels when he lost to Austin at WM14 on to return out of retirement in 2001. Terry Funk and Ric Flair have had numerous "retirement matches" over the years only to return to the sport in some sort of angle.

Speaking from facts, both the Undertaker & Shawn Michaels are said to be taking 5 months off until Summerslam after their big match at WM26. So that being said anything can happen. We shall see, boys.

Great kick tonight by HBK on Smackdown.
Personally, I liked the build up to last years match better. Michaels with the white coat and hat and taker emerging from the bottom of the ramp. Cool stuff. This year its like its "strickly business".

Don't worry.
He'll be back for Summer-Slam.

You think? Maybe he needs to "find his smile again", lol.

IMO what they should have done is have Triple H cost HBK his match at WM26 and they return via stipulation at SS to wrestle Triple HHH in a hell in the cell. Now that would be epic.  :)

HBK will be back within a year

Does a wrestler ever stay retired?

Shawn Michaels has left the building. Got a little watery watching his farwell. Wish he hit his pose one last time before he went back to the dressing room.

I was thinking that as well, would have finished everything off nicely.

Yes. Randy Savage is a perfect example of this.

Savage never had any kind of formal retirement.
Neither did Bret.
They just kind of disappeared.

It’s usually the guys who have big announcements and/or ceremonies like Flair, HBK, Funk, etc. who end up coming back.

Savage IMO was the smartest of them all. He had a stellar career, won multiple titles, had endorsements with slim jim, is respected by all, and made his money x10. He retired gracefully without any bullshit or wanna be comebacks like some of these other fossils that came back.

To Cheftim, Triple HHH will never life in Michaels shadow. He was already a big star and WWE champ carrying the ship prior to Stephanie. He was rated #1 wrestler in the world 2000-2002 by all critics.

There was a time when a Triple H match was without a doubt the best match on the card, no matter his opponent.

I have his DVD and there are tonnes of great matches with him.

Hunter worked hard, improved a great deal, and aligned himself with the right people to solidify & even further enhance his standing in the company.

Some guys worked just as hard, were just as skilled, and were just as deserving, but never received their just due because they weren’t “in bed” so to speak with the powers that be.

Ricky Steamboat comes to mind.

Ricky Steamboat, Randy Savage, Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair and the list goes on and on. They all made their own beds.

I think a lot of people underestimate Hogan in that regard.
It’s true that he got a lot of help from McMahon & the huge WWF marketing machine, but many folks forget…

Hogan was a top draw in every territory in every country he worked.
He would have been a top earner & huge success with or without Vince.

But for as successful as Hulkster was, he eventually hit a ceiling – going as far as industry parameters allowed.
Vince & his visions raised blasted that ceiling, allowing Hulk AND the business to reach heights that were never thought possible.

Bullseye. In Pro Wrestling / entertainment...Hogan is UNTOUCHABLE.

Oh, you’re absolutely right, but my point is that there were a lot of talented, hardworking guys who never went as far as they should have because of company politics.

Hunter cemented his political standing, earning him the biggest return for his work.
Whereas guys like Steamboat, who were never cozy with the brass, never made it as far as they deserved despite having the abilities.

HHH was a top guy before marrying into the Klan McMahon, but it's naive to think it didn’t help him somehow, somewhere along the way.

2000-2002 rated the best Wrestler? HHH was pretty awesome back then. Anyway to post the history of the best wrestlers of the year? Who's rated #1 in 2010?
I think the more interesting question s now that Shawn is gone, Triple HHH is past his prime and getting up there, who the hell is gonna take over? Those are some pretty hard shoes to fill. Cena? I don't think so. He'll never put on a show like HBK. HHH is as you put it pretty much played out now. He hit his prime 2000-2005 pretty much. Batista is up there in age and like most big men in the WWE he can only do so much. WHo is left?

We knew once Shemus came out with the pipe the other night it was a leed in back to the sledge hammer. If this guy was rated the best wrestler in the World at one point? Why the prop? How can anyone not see HHH success was all because of his nuptuals? Who's it gonna be next Mania? Cena or HHH against the streak?
WM is still a long time aways. Next PPV is going to be an Extreme Rules PPV. Cena will face Batista in a last man standing where Batista is expected to loose and then take time off to do a movie. HHH will surely face Sheamus in some sort of street fight. Probably a sledge hammer fight.

Maybe his "championships" were won because of who he slept with, but at one point in time I actually looked forward to his ring work, regardless of who he was/is boning.

The prop is part of the character and attitude, it doesn't make or break a persons ability.
