Fourth COVID vaccine still doesn’t stop Omicron, new Israeli study shows

Even a fourth shot of a COVID-19 vaccine is “not good enough” to prevent Omicron, according to a preliminary study in Israel.

The metrics will be changed. They will stop calling it 3rd booster, 4th booster etc. It will be called yearly booster vs every 6 months booster and the new studies and news articles will eventually reflect that.

All the Israeli study did was compare the effects of a 4th shot (2nd booster) as compared to just having 3 shots (one booster).

According to the briefing: "Both studies find a substantial reduction in risk of hospitalisation for Omicron cases after 3 doses of vaccine compared to those who are unvaccinated."
More recently on January 13 the U.K. HSA published data on vaccine effectiveness against Omicron over time, clearly showing how the vaccines plus boosters offer protection against serious illness with Omicron at least in the short term. Graphs outlining the data can be seen below.
