Was Golds Gym not heavily involved with the porn industry ? Didn't Joe Gold and Gordon Scott (both as queer as 9 dollas bills) start the gym as a casting centre for the magazine and film industry? Pretty sure the weiders helped finance it.

Ken sprague is an interesting dude. He calls his past life "nude modeling" over on ironage but everyone there must know the truth I assume. He gives the impression he left it all behind, got married a few more times and wound up a grandfather and teacher in Georgia with Howard as his sidekick.
He does have some good stories about how he rigged several mr America contests, had an open feud with Arnold over money, used to threesome the Heidi chick (the bare chested one on arnold's shoulders in that famous pic) with Kenny Waller and how he owned health clubs in the 80s that were basically just to hustle people into getting useless chiropractic treatments.

Ironage has gotten alright in terms of certain things, but there is still a "oh, my favorite couldn't do that, but this other guy"....... attitude among some guys. I don't think Sprague would've had a problem, but the photos in that link probably killed it. It's one thing to read a gentle description of that stuff, but seeing photos of the guy buried face deep in man ass is another kettle of fish.
Curiosity got the best of me and I read a scene break down - Drasin does a nude posing act. Callard does the same and some touching with the other guys. Birdsong and Sprague are involved in the heavy stuff.
