I work out in a semi-private gym, a converted former auto body shop. The DB's go up to 220lbs (bar about 3 ft). If you add industrial magnets to the end plates, you can probable get to 240 or more. Very few guy's bother using them for flat/inclines, too much of a pain in the arse. Really need two spotters (probably 4, 2 on each side for extra caution). Lot of extra bother for 2 to 4 partial reps, in my view. Mostly used for row's, partial Hi-pulls and shrugs. Good Luck.
