Assistant State Attorney Greg Wilson filed formal charges Friday morning against Kimesa Smith, 30, of Montgomery, Ala. She was charged with felony criminal mischief with damage of more than $1,000, two counts of misdemeanor battery, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest without violence.
Smith was caught on a cell phone video as she climbed onto the restaurant’s counter, threw items and struck employees March 19. She damaged one of the restaurant’s $3,800 LED screens and a cash register, authorities said.
“Considering how busy the Panama City Beach Police Department is because of Spring Break,” Wilson said in a news release, “the State Attorney’s Office assisted in the investigation by assigning Investigator Ricky Carleton to do follow-up interviews with witnesses and victims, which led to the additional charges.”
The video of Smith’s incident has become an internet sensation. It’s on YouTube under the title “Spring Break Bikini Brawl at Burger King.”
The video shows Smith standing on the counter to shout at a cashier she’d argued with in the drive-through moments earlier. About halfway through the 101-second clip, the dining room explodes with flying napkins, trays, straws, food and what appears to be either a child’s booster seat or a large water bottle.
The fight started when the woman complained about her order, according to a sworn statement from one of the workers.
“While many view this video as amusing, we see it as hard evidence of serious crimes being committed,” State Attorney Glenn Hess said in a prepared statement. “I’m quite certain the employees who were battered and terrorized by Ms. Smith do not find this the least bit amusing.”
The investigation continues and additional charges may be forthcoming.

Her real name is now said to be Nekiva Hardy, and a felony charge has been added added to the list of charges already lodged against her by police; Ms. Hardy, at least, believes the additional charge was the result of her recent YouTube stardom.

Nekiva Hardy, the bikini-clad Montgomerian who was caught on cell phone camera trashing a Panama City, Florida Burger King restaurant has been re-arrested.
U.S. Marshals took Hardy into custody Thursday morning and transported her to a detention facility in Montogmery where she’ll stay until Florida investigators extradite her.
Hardy, during a recent phone interview with WSFA 12 News, said she was never going to visit Florida again after the incident. She originally got out of jail on $100 bond because she was charged with Simple Battery - a charge stemming from a Burger King employee’s claim that Hardy pulled her hair.
The case caught the attention of local and national media outlets after someone posted a video on YouTube showing Hardy, still in her bathing suit and standing on the ordering counter, and several friends as they trashed the burger shop.
Florida authorities later determined Hardy had used a false name when she was arrested, calling herself Temisa Smith. A felony charge was added to Hardy’s arrest warrant due to claims she committed more than $1,000 in damage to the restaurant. She said during an interview that there was no way enough damage was caused by throwing trays and utensils to warrant the felony charge. She believes authorities are just trying to make a example of her because her case has received wide-ranging attention.

Charlotte, N.Y. - Fights involving about 50 youths broke out around 7 o'clock Monday night. Police had to clear the area, sending people home.
Police arrested several people.
One deputy was scratched on the face as he was pulled into the fracas. Police say that injury was not serious.
It's still unclear how many people were involved or what exactly started the fight. Witnesses said there were many young children on the beach and when a large scramble suddenly became more like a fight, parents feared the worst.
"I was scared for a minute. I started grabbing everybody...and making sure they moved out of everybody's way,” said beach goer Catrina Davis.
"There was a group of young gentleman running through the parking lot, saying something like someone's getting beat up, and next thing you know there are 20 cops, ambulances, fire trucks," said Kelsey Davis.
Those already at the Rib Fest Monday were allowed to stay in the fenced in area.
This isn't the first time a local venue has shut down because of fights on Memorial Day. Seabreeze made it a policy to close on Memorial Day starting last year after rumors of violence.

LONG BEACH, N.Y. - A Long Island police department says it had to call for backup to quell a beach melee involving hundreds of people that spilled out onto the streets and a nearby bus depot.
Long Beach police say they are investigating the incident. There was no immediate word on arrests.
No injuries were reported.
According to Newsday , 11 Nassau police cars and two Metropolitan Transportation Authority police units assisted with the crowd control on Monday evening.
Police say a series of fights erupted on the beach just before it closed at 6 p.m. and continued for several hours. It was not clear whether the fights involved the same group of young people or different groups.
Police say the situation was brought under control by 9 p.m. MTA spokesman Sam Zambuto said the bus depot was cleared by 9:30 p.m.

Dozens Brawl Outside Downtown San Jose McDonald’s; 2 Stabbed

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) – At least two people were stabbed and hospitalized, and three others injured after a massive brawl involving dozens of people broke out in the parking lot of a McDonald’s near San Jose State University.
The fight happened around 10 p.m. about a block away from the university on the corner of San Jose and Third Streets, and just hours after a free downtown concert let out.
Police said a small crowd started gathering before it quickly turned into a mob of more than 100 people, many of who began screaming, yelling, and throwing punches when a fight broke out.
Witnesses said the friends of one of the stabbing victims literally dragged him into a car and tried fleeing the scene, but police stopped them before they could get away.
Those who work downtown said word is getting out that San Jose is laying off police officers, leading to a spike in crime.
“A lot of things come from a lot of out-of-towners,” said restaurant manager George Bracamonte. “We talk to people, a lot of out-of-towners and I guess kind of an opinion I’ve heard was maybe a lack of resources in the police department, why the out-of-towners are coming here and doing what they do. As they call it get ‘hifey’ and crazy and disrespect the streets.”
The condition of each of the victims is not currently known, but there are reports that a 17-year-old male and a 19-year-old male suffered non-life-threatening stab wounds.
Three others were treated and released for their injuries.
It’s not known what started the brawl, which witnesses said was so big it looked like a riot.
Police spokesman Jose Garcia said race may have been a motive in the brawl, and that about half the group was Latino, the other half black.
“Some of the individuals who were involved in this disturbance are being uncooperative with investigators, as well as potential witnesses who were not being very cooperative. So that makes it very difficult for us to determine what occurred and the motive,” he told KCBS.
Witnesses told CBS5 that the brawl was so big it looked like a riot. That kind of behavior isn’t surprising to some. One man, who only identified himself as “Julio,” said the area looks like a “war zone” late at night with groups of youngsters looking for trouble.
“Little 21-year-old gang bangers trying to punk all the older people,” he said. “I feel like you come down here you gotta watch your back.”
This is the second time this year that violence has broken out in a McDonald’s parking lot in San Jose. In March, an 18-year-old man was shot to death outside the McDonald’s near San Jose City College.

Sutter County jurors on Wednesday found a Fresno man not guilty on all counts in the March shooting of Obadiah Samuel Mitchell at the Yuba City IHOP restaurant.
Jessie Hipolito Pena, 44, was charged with attempting to murder Mitchell after confronting him inside the restaurant for using profanity.
Jurors could have found Pena guilty of the lesser charge of attempted voluntary manslaughter but also rejected that option.
The jury forewoman declined comment as she left the courtroom, but another member of the panel, Ashley Yetter of Yuba City, said jurors felt evidence was insufficient to indicate whether Pena acted in self-defense or not.
Pena said he saw a metal object in Mitchell's hand, telling police at first he thought it was a gun. Later, he said it might have been a knife or an antenna. He fired once, hitting Mitchell in the chest.
"I had nothing in my hand. I don't know what to say," Mitchell said as he sat on steps outside the courthouse.
"There is no justice, no justice at all," Mitchell said.
"It's like Casey Anthony all over again," he said, referring to the Florida woman who was recently found not guilty of murdering her daughter.
After initially confronting Mitchell, Pena went outside to get his gun from his car, then came back inside the restaurant and asked him to step outside.
Mitchell said he thought he was going outside to shake hands with Pena. But Pena fired his 9 mm handgun without saying a word, he said.
Police found a knife from the restaurant near the wounded Mitchell. It will always be a mystery how it got there, Pena's attorney, Antonio R. Alvarez, said after the verdict.
A restaurant security camera showed Mitchell leaving his booth and following Pena outside without picking up a knife from the table.
Alvarez said he thought Pena "came across as reasonable" when he testified Friday.
"I think they believed my client was justified in his actions," Alvarez said.
Pena testified he heard something metallic hit the ground after Mitchell was shot, Alvarez said.
The jury acquitted Pena on two other charges: assault with a gun and battery causing great bodily injury.
"That was a great job the jury did. We're just thankful," said Pena's sister-in-law, Arleen Ramirez of San Bernardino County.
Outside the courthouse, Mitchell, a single father of two girls, said he will have to return to school and find a new line of work because the shooting left him unable to raise his arms above his head. He was a construction worker.
He probably would have died if one of his friends had not kept pressure on the wound before paramedics arrived, Mitchell said.
Surgeons operated on Mitchell to repair his collapsed left lung. He was in the intensive care unit at Rideout Memorial Hospital for several days.
Pena can now go home, get his permit back to carry a concealed gun, "and maybe do this to somebody else," Mitchell said.
"But everything comes full circle. He has to stand before God, not before me," he said.
"I'm just glad it's over. Now I can go on with my life," Mitchell said.

A Marietta McDonald's manager is accused of punching a mother who brought a service dog and autistic children into the restaurant.
A Cobb County warrant charges Tiffany Denise Allen with simple battery, simple assault fear and disorderly conduct.
According to the warrant, Jennifer Schwenker entered the Marietta McDonald's located at 1291 Bells Ferry Road with her children and service dog on July 12.
Allen, off-duty at the time, became irate that the dog was in the restaurant, the warrant says.
Schwenker explained to Allen the dog's purpose and told the manager the dog was legally allowed to be inside the establishment.
Allen continued to berate Schwenker, following her around the restaurant and even into a bathroom. During the incident, one of Schwenker's twins disappeared. The mother threw her cup to the ground and ran outside to look for her child, the warrant says.
Allen believed the cup was thrown at her and followed the mother into the parking lot, where she is accused of hitting her in the face.
Surveillance video shows several McDonald's employees holding Allen back, according to the warrant.
The warrant for Allen's arrest was signed July 15. She is not listed as having been in custody at the Cobb County jail.
An owner of the McDonald's, who did not want to be named, declined an interview but did say Allen no longer works at the restaurant.

10:50 a.m. update: The Carson City Sheriff's Office is confirming that the shooter is dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
There are reports that three people have died.
10:30 a.m. update: Lt. Rob Van Diest of the Reno Police Department said one person has been confirmed dead.Four victims have been transported to Carson-Tahoe Hospital in Carson City. Three of them are in surgery.
Four victims were transported to Renown Regional Medical Center, two in critical condition and two with less-serious injuries.

10:23 a.m. update: Kurt Althof, public relations manager for Care Flight, said helicopters from all three of their bases — Reno, Truckee and Gardnerville, were called to the scene at 9 a.m.

A fourth victim was transported to Renown by the East Fork Fire Protection District ambulance out of Gardnerville. That victim’s condition is not known.

10:15 a.m. update: Ralph Swagler, owner of Locals Barbecue in the same strip mall as the IHOP, said he saw a man wearing a red shirt and black shorts pull up outside the IHOP in a blue minivan.
Swagler said the man had a rifle. He shot and killed a man on a motorcycle, then walked inside the IHOP and started shooting.
Swagler said the man spent several minutes there, then walked back outside into the parking lot and began firing into the Locals Barbecue and an H&R Block in the strip mall.
“This happens in third-world countries, not here,” Swagler said.

SEPTEMBER 21--Angered that his Taco Bell drive-thru order failed to include hot sauce, a Missouri man returned to the fast food restaurant and allegedly pulled a shotgun on an employee, who fled in fear from the takeout window.
The bizarre incident Saturday evening resulted in the arrest of Jeremy Combs, a 30-year-old convicted felon, on both state and federal charges. Combs is pictured in the below mug shot.
According to a U.S. District Court complaint, investigators with the Lee’s Summit Police Department interviewed Combs Sunday afternoon about the incident. Combs admitted that he had purchased several items from Taco Bell, only to return home to discover “the Taco Bell employee had failed to include his…hot sauce.”
While Combs told cops that he “became upset and drove back to the Taco Bell to confront the employee,” he denied brandishing a shotgun at the drive-thru worker. He said the item was actually a tire iron, a claim police say is belied by Taco Bell surveillance footage showing Combs in his Ford F-150 truck.
During a subsequent search of Combs’s residence, police discovered a Mossberg shotgun with live rounds of ammunition affixed to its side (the weapon was hidden under the mattress in Combs’s bedroom). In a conversation Monday with a Lee’s Summit detective, Combs reportedly copped to possessing the shotgun at Taco Bell, adding that he bought the weapon--which did not have a serial number--“from ‘Mark’ at a drug house in Independence, Missouri.”
The incarcerated Combs is scheduled for a detention hearing tomorrow in federal court in Kansas City. According to the criminal complaint, Combs’s rap sheet includes 14 felony arrests and three felony convictions. (3 pages)

PITTSBURGH -- Police said that a group of people dressed in Halloween costumes got into a fight outside the McDonald's in West View on Saturday.
According to police, one person was dressed as Cookie Monster, another as Bert from Sesame Street and a third was dressed as a beer-garden girl. A fourth person was also in the car, police said.
One of the victims told Channel 4 Action News that he was trying to order a breakfast sandwich when the costumed attackers approached his vehicle.
The victim said he got out of his car to defend himself and was hit in the head with a high heel.
There was a woman inside of the victim's car who was also severely beaten and was taken to Allegheny General Hospital by ambulance. The woman received about 20 staples in her head, the victim told Channel 4 Action News.
Police said the woman dressed as a beer garden girl was taken to jail, still in costume. The other three people in the car fled on foot, police said.
Police are reviewing surveillance video from the restaurant and said they hope to make another arrest soon.

PATERSON, N.J. (CBSNewYork) — They’ve got their men.
Police said Wednesday they’ve arrested the trio caught on tape attacking two people, including chopping at one victim with a machete. The Paterson Police Department turned to social media in its hunt for the attackers, posting the stunning video of the attack on its Facebook page.

The incident took place on Sept. 10 at the U.S. Chicken restaurant at 194 Straight St. Police said the “vicious assault” began just before 4 a.m.
There were two attacks, said Paterson Police Capt. Heriberto Rodriguez.
“Both attacks were unprovoked, as far as we could see. Nothing was taken in the second attack,” Rodriguez told CBSNewYork.
In the first case, the victim, seen on the video wearing a white shirt with a black insignia on the top left corner, was attempting to walk out of the restaurant when he was confronted by two men in the doorway. While they talk, police say Omar Villota, 22, comes up behind him and pistol whips him in the back of the head. The trio tumble into the street.
Things then go from bad to worse.

A few minutes later, the group comes tumbling back into the restaurant, this time struggling with a second victim. The second victim is seen on tape being repeatedly punched in the face, allegedly by 20-year-old Johel Gomez. Police said Tyree Seegers, 22, then started hacking at the second victim with a machete.
According to police, Seegers is seen on the tape hacking at the victim at least 14 times with the machete. During one of his swings, he chops into Villota, who is continually pistol-whipping the victim. Seegers nearly severs Villota’s right arm, leaving a blood trail that the cops used to track them down.
As the victim lays apparently unconscious on the ground, Gomez allegedly kicks him in the head.
Gomez, Seegers and Villota have all been arrested. Seegers was picked up early Wednesday morning after turning himself in.
Amazingly, despite the intensity of the punches, kicking and hacking with the machete, the second victim is not seriously hurt, police say.
“He’s doing alright,” said Rodriguez. “He was banged up… nothing life threatening, thank God.”
Rodriguez said the reason the victim is still alive is because Seegers was lousy with the machete.
“The one time he swung it straight and effectively, he hit his own counterpart, his owns friend,” Rodriguez said.
Police are still seeking the first victim and want him to come forward.
Rodriguez said he was happy to have a tool like Facebook.
“We turned to Facebook for help… Seegers turned himself in because he felt all this pressure from everywhere.”
Rodrguez said they department will continue to use the social media site to publicize wanted crooks.

Shanaya Edgell Arrested After Fast Food Flip-Out At Wis. McDonald's

A Wisconsin woman recently discovered that 3 a.m. is not a good time for the great taste of her favorite McDonald's sandwich.
On Sunday, police in Rock County were dispatched to an address in Janesville at about 3:30 a.m., to investigate a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival at the scene, officers spoke with 40-year-old Darrell Page. The shirtless and visibly upset man said he had just been attacked by his 22-year-old girlfriend, Shanaya Edgell.
Page told police that Edgell had become uncontrollably angry after they went through a McDonald's drive-through and discovered the fast-food chain had stopped serving hamburgers and had switch to their breakfast menu.
"Edgell got upset because she did not want breakfast and only wanted a cheeseburger," reads the police report.
After Page drove away, Edgell apparently accepted the fact that she was not going to have it her way and asked her boyfriend to return to the restaurant so she could get breakfast. Page apparently disagreed and drove on, enraging his girlfriend, police said.
"Edgell began striking him in the face and biting his right arm as he was trying to drive," the police report reads. "Page stated that Edgell was grabbing the steering wheel as he was trying to control the vehicle as it was moving."
Page pulled over to the side of the road and Edgell exited the vehicle, but when he attempted to drive off, she allegedly jumped on the hood of the vehicle. Officers arrived on the scene shortly afterward.
Thompson, who officers observed was "bleeding from his upper lip," refused to allow officers to see where he had allegedly been bitten. He also would not allow them to photograph his injuries.
"It's not a big deal. I'm okay," Page said, according to police.
When police questioned Edgell, she told them that she and her boyfriend had been drinking at a bar and went to McDonald's afterwards. She admitted "acting crazy" because McDonald's had switched over to the breakfast menu and said Page was trying to calm her down. Edgell also told police that she ripped Page's shirt off during their argument, police said.
Edgell was charged with disorderly conduct and was placed in the Rock County jail in lieu of $150 bond.
Perhaps next time Edgell suffers from early morning hunger she will keep her cool and order hashbrowns or an Egg McMuffin. After all, everyone knows the clerks at McDonald's "love to see you smile."

2 dead among 6 shot in South Side attack

There are some headlines that we've really, really enjoyed, and "John Travolta snubbed at Grinstead branch of KFC" has to be up there with the best of them -- alongside the likes of "Nicolas Cage awoken by naked man with Fudgesicle" -- something we don't say lightly.
This headline comes about because John Travolta's PA recently called up the Grinstead branch of KFC to ask for a special table to be reserved for him -- presumably because he desperately wanted some of the colonel's mighty fine chicken.
The KFC employee's reponse? He'll have to queue in the line like everyone else.
A spokesman for KFC later told the BBC: "In hindsight, of course, we would have reserved a table for him. It's not every day you get a Hollywood star eating in your restaurant." And in West Sussex, too? You couldn't make it up.
Unsurprisingly, the KFC worker who took the call has refused to offer up his name to the press, sensibly maintaining his anonymity -- though he did admit that he was initially quite skeptical when he was asked to book a table for someone referred to only as "Mr. Travolta"...

Palestinian police stormed the basilica of the Nativity in Bethlehem after rival groups of Orthodox and Armenian clerics clashed in a row over the boundaries of their respective ancient jurisdictions inside the church.
Armed with brooms, around 100 priests and monks came to blows during the cleaning of the church in preparation for Orthodox Christmas celebrations.
The former Palestinian minister of tourism and head of the Palestinian forces in Bethlehem were slightly injured.
Administration of the church is shared by Catholic, Orthodox, and Armenian Apostolic clerics.
The relationship between these groups has often been difficult, and there have been similar scuffles in previous years over jurisdiction.

The Chimp Incident
Out in the chimp building at the Sunset Zoo, the keepers and I were taking bets on how long the white paper background I’d just installed would remain intact once they let the apes in. I said I thought I’d get three minutes of shooting at least. I figured they would take their time and investigate their new surroundings carefully, like when man first stepped onto the surface of the moon.
“No way,” the keepers said. “Chimps are too destructive. You’ll get 60 seconds, max.”
To install it, I got on my hands and knees so as not to mark anything with my shoes, taping the paper carefully around the edges to the walls and floor so that it would stick solidly and not come up under foot as the animals entered and moved about.
Once finished, I backed out of the stall slowly, admiring the scene and imagining all the wondrous things that would take place on it just a few minutes from now. All the while, the zoo’s four chimps listened nervously, rocking back and forth and shaking the bars of the pen down the hall.
My lights and soft boxes were brought in and set up just outside of the chimps’ “grab zone” in the hallway outside the pen. It was go time.
“Is all that photo gear washable?” one keeper laughed. Seems chimps love to throw their poop at anyone they don’t like, from the veterinarian with the dart gun to the photographer with the camera lens that resembles a dart gun. The zoo had outfitted me with an old keeper’s uniform, just in case things got nasty. I braced for the worst and said, “Let ’em in.”
With the turn of a crank, slowly a big iron door slid back, allowing the chimps access to their impromptu photo studio. The tension was as heavy as the smell of chimp excrement in the air.
Hazina the chimp stuck just her head and arms into the enclosure very slowly and cautiously, touching the white paper as if it were electric. She seemed lost in thought. Her baby clung to her underside. Then, with a single, swift wave of her arm, that momma chimp ripped that 7-foot by 12-foot background right off the wall and floor like it was nothing, sucking the entire thing through a tiny doorway, like water through a straw.
The show was over, and the only shooting I got was of her destroying the set (above).
I went to look at the chimps in the stall next door. In 30 seconds, they already had the background in a wad now, jumping on the Polar White and listening to it crunch. When she saw me, the mom tried to poop into her hairy, eager hand so she could throw it at me, but she came up empty, fortunately. Pouting now, I turned to pack my bags.

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. (CBS Tampa) — A massive brawl broke out during a birthday party at a Chuck E. Cheese which led to one person getting shot.
Authorities say 18 people got into a fight after people exchanged words Saturday night during a child’s birthday party.
According to WPBF-TV, three people – Briana Walker, Robert Thompson and Alfred Peoples – left the restaurant without paying a $300 bill. Boynton Beach authorities arrested the three on drug charges and defrauding an innkeeper.
After the brawl began at Chuck E. Cheese, it escalated when people began to look for each other to “continue the fight.”

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Customers at the Upper Darby McDonald’s got upset last night when two women were allegedly found having sexual relations in a rest room. Things quickly got out of hand and police were called.
It happened around 5 p.m. while about seven customers were having their meals. They clearly heard sounds originating from the ladies room.
Police Superintendent Mike Chitwood explains what the McDonald’s manager found: ”Two women were in a bathroom and engaged in some type of sexual activity.”
The manager told the two women to leave.
“There was a verbal altercation between the two women and seven other customers — male and female.”
It didn’t end there. As the women exited McDonald’s, some of those customers followed the women and one of the women was stabbed, suffering a non-life-threatening injury for which she had to be treated. So far, there have been no arrests, and police have not identified the attacker.

I know this is an old post but once I saw Newark IHop it made me laugh.right across the street from UMDNJ Hosp in one of theee most inhospitable places in Essex County.nothing good goes on there no matter what time of the day/night it is lol! A drug deal was going down in a WalMart parking lot. Some of the participants were not happy with the deal. They could not use the criminal justice system, so they used guns. Shots were exchanged between occupants of two cars in the lot. The WalMart parking lot was not in New York or New Jersey. This WalMart was in Augusta, Maine, and in Maine, responsible and honest people can legally carry guns. Two honest and responsible gun carriers stopped the shooting.
The shooting in the Maine WalMart was between New York residents, and it involved Heroin. The four parties arrested were named in an article by centralmaine.com. There was no mention of the responsibly armed people who stopped the shoot out and defused the situation. The suspected drug deal and shootout participants were:

MARCH 19--An IHOP manager was left bloodied after he was attacked by rowdy female patrons who threw punches, chairs, and plates at the worker, according to Tennessee police who are seeking to identify the assailants.
According to cops, the melee touched off early Friday morning at an IHOP restaurant in Memphis after the victim asked the women to quiet down.
That request touched off a violent confrontation.
As seen in the above video, which was shot by a diner unconnected to the raucous party of five, the manager fought with one woman near a booth while two of her friends threw plates at the worker from point blank range.
After the manager bodyslammed the woman with whom he was tangling, one of the plate throwers launched a chair at the man. He responded by throwing the chair back at the woman, knocking her to the ground. Further chair tossing followed before the women left IHOP and the worker staggered away.
The IHOP employee, who was bleeding profusely from a head wound, was later transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Memphis police have not made any arrests in connection with the 12:30 AM melee.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Police arrested a fast food worker after they said he fired shots at customers who had just ordered food in the drive-thru of a north Charlotte Wendy's.
Channel 9 crews were the first on the scene at the Wendy’s on Sunset Road around 2 a.m.
A bullet hole could be clearly seen on the right side of a red Dodge Charger.
Investigators told Channel 9 two female customers from Florida had gone through the drive-thru and were waiting for their food in the parking lot. A female employee brought the food out to them, but the customers were upset about how long it took to get their order, and the women started fighting.
That's when police said a male employee came out and shot at the customers with a shotgun.

An employee at a Subway sandwich shop in Florida got so enraged at a fellow employee in a fight over a sandwich that he ended up firing a handgun at the co-worker’s mother, a report said.
The fight kicked off when Destin Garcia, 18, was with his fellow employee at the sandwich shop in Palm Springs the day after Thanksgiving, NBC South Florida reported.
Because the sandwich outpost was busy with Black Friday customers, the employees were allowed to make themselves a free sandwich, according to the report.
Garcia’s co-worker ended up making herself a wrap instead of a sandwich, the report said, and he became enraged and ordered her to pay the difference of about a dollar.
She refused to pay and walked away, NBC reported.
The next morning, Garcia took a handgun to the employee’s house to confront her about the wrap controversy.
The woman’s mother came out, and Garcia allegedly shoved her to the ground when she told him to leave, according to the report.
He then pulled the gun, and barked, “Do you think it’s a game?” before firing two shots at the ground near her feet.
Garcia was arrested Sunday on aggravated assault charges and held on $100,000 bond, according to jail records.

GREENVILLE, North Carolina -- An angry KFC employee rammed his SUV into the side of the restaurant when he was bamboozled by his paycheck.
The man stopped by the restaurant to pick up his check on Tuesday morning and wasn't pleased. Police say he slammed the vehicle into the restaurant near the drive-thru, according to a WCTI report.
Police told WCTI he didn't get the paycheck he expected.
A vertical crack in the brick building went up the entire building. Charges are pending for the man, who was driving a white Ford Explorer.
Around 10 people were inside the KFC at the time. No one was hurt.

At 60-75% you can expect covert drug use, and concealed guns. Good and decent families are moving away. At this stage loud bass thumping from cars is now an advertisement for illegal drug sales.
Now, at 75-85%, walking down the street is a risk. We find hair-trigger, unprovoked violence, usually targeted against those of other races. Calls to 9-1-1 demonstrate slower & slower response times. Local businesses deteriorate, as does the general condition of the neighborhood. The last of the liberal, die-hard families vacate the community they have cherished for decades.
At 85-95%, the public institutions in the area (schools, libraries, etc.) slowly wither from lack of use. Consumer places (food stores, day-care centers, etc.) show graffiti & territorial gang signs, and gang membership now outweighs the number of non-gang people. Drug sales & prostitution are open and obvious. A gunshot is heard every week. All businesses which are still in operation (liquor stores, stereo wholesalers, etc.) have bars on the windows.
Once a population of 95-100% is reached, there is debris everywhere. A large number of dwellings are ruined or burned-out. At this stage, the economy of the community is nearing total collapse, and good jobs do not exist. Emergency services infrequently patrol for fear of risking officers' lives.
The name of the neighborhood is now synonymous with violence & gangs.
At this stage the spread of this condition bears characteristics similar to the unchecked spread of a virus, and adjacent communities begin to show signs of following suit.

The coronavirus pandemic could spell the end of Chuck E. Cheese. The popular kid’s restaurant had to close its 610 locations nationwide during the outbreak. Now, $1 billion in debt has Chuck E. Cheese’s parent company, CEC Entertainment, approaching bankruptcy.
The Wall Street Journal reports that CEC is asking lenders for a $200 million to keep its business going. For comparison, the news is similar to the recent circumstances that led to the retail band JC Penney filing bankruptcy last month.
CEC has also offered its top executives retention bonuses to try and keep them from leaving, including $3 million to three of its executives, according to the Wall Street Journal.
The news comes after CEC admitted in April it was considering refinancing, restructuring, or even bankruptcy following the coronavirus pandemic given how much the restaurant industry has struggled. This after Chuck E. Cheese laid off 17,000 employees in March.
Chuck E. Cheese’s website currently lists three locations in the Cleveland area, including one in Parma, one in North Olmsted and one in Mayfield Heights.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A 37-year-old IHOP employee was assaulted in the early morning hours Thursday after confronting customers who dined and dashed.
Officers responded at about 5:45 a.m. after receiving a report of an assault in progress on the 2200 block of Killebrew Drive in Bloomington. Police said the IHOP manager was assaulted after confronting a large group in the parking lot who had left without paying their entire bill.

The Memphis Police Department posted about the incident on Facebook, which occurred at a Burger King in Memphis on Tuesday, March 30th. According to the post, no arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
Witnesses reportedly said that the woman was upset at how long she the wait at the drive-thru was. She allegedly exited her vehicle and approached the window, where she began arguing with one of the workers.
The woman then reportedly returned to her vehicle (which she was not the driver of) and retrieved a handgun. Authorities say she returned to the drive-thru window, leaned inside the restaurant and fired the gun several times.
The woman then returned to her car, which drove away from the scene.
The Memphis police wrote on Facebook that employees at the restaurant fled through a rear door and were unharmed.
The Facebook post also included several images from security cameras that show the woman leaning through the window and pointing a gun inside the restaurant.

A resident of a Florida retirement community angry over the thickness of a tomato was charged with a felony after she hurled racial slurs and a sandwich at a Black fast food-chain employee.
According to records from the Wildwood Florida Police Department seen by the Villages News, Judith Ann Black, 77, was dining at a Burger King in the nearby Trailwinds Village last Friday when she confronted an employee about her unsatisfactory sandwich.
According to the News, Black was angry over the thickness of the tomato slice on her Whopper, and the Burger King employee who was unnamed in the report, tried to calm Black down - but Black threw the Whopper at the employee's back.
Black then stormed out, but not before spouting several expletives including the N-word, calling the employee a "stupid Black b----," according to the police report seen by Villages News. The outlet verified this with the manager and another worker at the Trailwinds Burger King, as well as a customer who witnessed the exchange.
Wildwood police tracked Black down and booked her at the Sumter County Detention Center, but released her later on a $2,500 bond.
According to police records seen by the News, Black admitted to being "angry" that the employee was not "fixing the issue," and confirmed that she had thrown the Whopper at the Burger King worker.
The police record referenced by the Villages News also indicated that Black's use of racial slurs altered "the charge of battery from a misdemeanor of the first degree to a felony of the third degree under Florida State Statute 775.085." This statute is known as the "hate crime statute," which increases the minimum and maximum penalties that a judge could impose.

A Dunkin Donuts employee in Tampa is charged with the death of a customer after he allegedly punched the man for using a racial slur, causing the victim to fall and hit his head.
Tampa police said the victim, a 77-year-old man, went through the drive-thru at the Dunkin Donuts location at 410 South 50 Street on May 5.
That's when police said Pujols punched the victim in the jaw, knocking the man out and causing him to fall and hit his head on the floor.
