Any Obama appointed judge would let that slide but let’s hope this one doesn’t
-
Not sure that would change anything. It's not an offensive/provoking slogan on the shirt.
I think everyone agrees with the message.
I'm not saying Floyd wasnt responsible for his own death...his own choices brought him there.
The issue is police are there to stop the threat and bring individuals into custody. Not act as judge, jury, and in this case executioner.
-

Not the point though.
Jurors were asked in their interviews if they ever participated in any rallies, etc related to the case.

I’d say the cop did stop the threat.
For all eternity.

Not everyone is a Liberal bleeding vagina.
Those of us that think for ourselves don't give two shits about the BLM movement.
It's the actions of these thugs that created the problem. Not the other way around.

Save Chauvin before he must sacrifice his ass unto BBC while he is incarcerated.

Yes - and he specifically said he didn't know about the George Floyd case.
The thing is - that knee/neck hold is legal under Minnesota policing code. So it's bullshit to convict a cop for doing his job as he is trained to do it.
I'm just speaking on that one detail. I'm not saying he did nothing wrong [holding the knee too long, maybe], but the hold itself was legal.
Also, George Floyd was overdosing on Fentanyl at the time of his arrest.

The juror in question signed an oath saying he had no prior knowledge of the George Floyd case, and I think the photo was taken in August. That's the specific issue at hand, which is why Goodrum made an excellent point.
I can't speak too much on the specifics of the case...but unbiased juror selection is paramount for any case.
-
Not the point though.
Jurors were asked in their interviews if they ever participated in any rallies, etc related to the case.
Mitchell said he answered "no" to two questions in the juror questionnaire sent out before jury selection that asked about participation in demonstrations.
The first question asked, "Did you, or someone close to you, participate in any of the demonstrations or marches against police brutality that took place in Minneapolis after George Floyd's death?"
The second asked, "Other than what you have already described above, have you, or anyone close to you, participated in protests about police use of force or police brutality?"
Given that the question wasn't "any rally" or march.. but protest or rally against police brutality I think he dodged a bullet. His explanation while it may or may not be true, is plausible and likely not grounds for any mistrial in my opinion
" The event was "100 percent not" a march for Floyd, Mitchell said, adding, "It was directly related to MLK's March on Washington from the '60s … The date of the March on Washington is the date."
I think he wanted to be on the jury, he said as much. I think he should have been more forthcoming to avoid any misunderstanding or controversy, but I think it will be a stretch at this point. But I'm no expert it's just what I think.
-

Link to the oath where it says he had no prior knowledge? That seems like a ridiculous question given the enormous news coverage it had

Chauvin was a scumbag this wasn't his first incident of excessive force but yes they will try to appeal hopefully they lose

You can tell a liberal by how they play games with words to enforce their confirmation bias.

Chauvin was a scumbag this wasn't his first incident of excessive force but yes they will try to appeal hopefully they lose
yep, something like 18 incidents in his 19 year of "public service"
it doesn't seem fair that the jury didn't get to hear about that (and it's likely why Chauvin didn't take the stand ...it would have opened him up to being asked about it) but they the defense got to bring up every bad thing that Floyd did his entire life
maybe someone in jail will just kneel on his neck for nine minutes and he'll die of natural causes
-
Chauvin was a scumbag this wasn't his first incident of excessive force but yes they will try to appeal hopefully they lose
So in your world George Floyd was a model citizen?
Fuck off back to gimmickland, shitbag.

Isn't it time for you to perform a "scrotum salah" on some goat fucker at the local convenience mart? You don't wanna miss your daily dose of head cheese, you fucking fuck. Covid up and Kobe out whole ass.

Whilst the verdict should be dismissed, he's been found guilty of murder where in reality it should have been manslaughter, in todays America I don't like his chances of getting a dismissal.

Chauvins wife was like an asian milf, so probably Chauvin.
His neighbours didn't know he was a cop. He told them he was an account or something. Is that strange?
-

Fuck off back to gimmickland, shitbag.
So because he is a drug user its ok for the cops to murder him in the streets? He wasn't a threat to any officer there was no need to kill him. Chauvin is a pos who enjoyed hurting people glad he is in prison. And a real tough guy you wouldnt say shit to my face in real life but want to act like a badass online cursing me pussy

No Matt...a knee on the neck isn't any part of police training...its a shoulder blade. Where did you get this stupid shit from...I never put my knee on anyone's neck although on occasion , I dif punch a few in the back of the head to put their hands behind their back. Even if it was legal , i think he could have taken his knee off after he was unconscious. They should have cuffed him and thrown him in the back of the car.
Part of the job is to make sure a suspect who is captured and subdued, lives to make it to court....and he failed miserably

Coroner’s report said he didn’t die from a knee to the neck
-
Coroner’s report said he didn’t die from a knee to the neck
Not completely...those drugs killed him with that knee to his neck as a contributing factor. Either way, there is no police training that involves a knee to the neck simply because it's the fucking neck
-

Chauvin and Floyd’s paths never cross if Floyd wasn’t a violent career criminal.
Bitch, in real life I would slap you until the hair on your bald pin head grew back.
You’re ANOTHER fucking lame gimmick who will end up getting outed because you suck cock for attention from anonymous people on the internet.
Scrawny little bald bitchboi.

Holy shit, you are right. These idiots actually taught this move....definitely wasn't taught to me. We focused more on pressure points and jujitsu....not this bullshit.

Chauvin fukk your Tranny dad? You sure seem butt-hurt and enjoy BBC-Cuck type stuff.

Sort of changes the lens through which the whole thing is viewed, eh? This was an approved restraint technique by the city, but no news reports it.

No , different municipalities use different techniques, restraints, etc. For example, some depts use expandable batons, some use the classic P24 baton, some use the wooden truncheon from the 60s...and even some places use police nunchucks. Same goes with service weapons, uniform, etc....
With that being said, just because something is taught doesnt make it legal...even if I was showed this technique during my training, I wouldn't use it.....all the more reason for this to be overturned.
-
who would you rather be your neighbor? floyd or chauvin?
E
Floyd would certainly be a quieter neighbour
-
You can tell a liberal by how they play games with words to enforce their confirmation bias.
100% spot on. Either word games or logical fallacies. Guy is wearing a BLM, "get your knee off our necks" to a racial justice/police reform march where George Floyd's brother spoke. I mean I wouldn't expect him or a guy who was wearing a "back the blue" shirt to a pro cop march to be impartial in a trial like this.
-
Clever individual. ::)
Only the best serve on a jury. Find a dozen village idiots willing to take off work (if they even have jobs) to make $12 a day.
-
No way will the results be overturned and a new trial happen cause the black community will go absolutely crazy. I just don’t see it happening.
-
Floyd would certainly be a quieter neighbour
hahahhaha

Chauvins attorney did not refer to the juror's participation in the march in his request for a new trial yesterday.
-
even if I was showed this technique during my training, I wouldn't use it.....
I have to say I don't believe that. If the police training consists of this move you would use it. Anything else is just using a lot of hindsight.

Chauvin was a simple drug user not a violent career criminal. There is no gimmick. I have posted my pics have you I would bet my life I am in better shape than you. I also wrestled division 1 and in the Army and competed in MMA. I would ragdoll you. But sure talk shit on the internet I live on the east coast I can meet up

They dont really need to file it...it will come up in sentencing

BHank you are a simple man who loves the taste of flaccid black cock.
Nothing you claim is true.
Homeless winos jizz on your bald head and watch it run down into your eyes.
Phaggot.

I guess that bogus $20 bill wasn't such the master plan the dead guy was hoping for.
-
Not the point though.
Jurors were asked in their interviews if they ever participated in any rallies, etc related to the case.
So I've read. I also read that the event commemorated Martin Luther King's August 28, 1963 March on Washington and not a BLM or George Floyd event. However, people did speak about Floyd at the event. It is my thought that Brandon was less then truthful by shirting the obvious connection regardless of the intent of the March on Washington event he attended. It will be interesting to see how this issue plays out.
If I were Chauvin's defense attorney, I'd definitely pursue it as a reason for a mistrial since the verdict had to be unanimous. Would a different juror voted to acquit rather than convict Chauvin....no way to know for sure, but it seems unlikely. But then, I am not an attorney so there could be mitigating circumstances of which I am unaware.
-
Any Obama appointed judge would let that slide but let’s hope this one doesn’t
We'll soon find out. Peter Cahill a Hennepin County Judge, was appointed by Republican Gov. Tim Pawlenty. How will you respond if His Honor "lets it slide".
-
Chauvins wife was like an asian milf, so probably Chauvin.
His neighbours didn't know he was a cop. He told them he was an account or something. Is that strange?
No it isn't strange. I personally know of other police who prefer not to reveal their profession to the neighborhood. At the moment, there is so much animosity toward the police, police personnel might not want to put themselves and their families at risk.

I can’t even give you a 1. Unoriginal recycled persona, not unique or entertaining. 0/10, next gimmick please.

Good question.
I know police officers that don’t let people know they’re law enforcement. You get brought into every speeding ticket and dispute the people that know you have. The flip side of the coin is if someone talks about their neighbor cop and it gets to the wrong people you can be a target at your home.
Many people crave this kind of power, some don’t like it.

My training taught multiple ways to subdue someone. The pressure points and jujitsu was much better. However we were taught chokeholds which I had to use on a few occasions and in 1999 there was no issue with strikes to the body.
The only thing I worry about is that all of it is on video naturally. If some activist got ahold of those tapes, just about everyone including myself from that time period would be in prison like Chauvin...especially the time where I just said fuck it and broke an asswipes arm after he didnt comply...let me tell you this...when you break an arm, it sounds like a gunshot

Not trolling Vince, but I saw a documentary a long time and to break up a fight and subdue a couples of prisoners, the corrections officers reached into the prisoners pants and grabbed their balls. It calmed things down in an instant. Is this legit?

If you think the sound of an arm breaking is horrific you should hear the sound of a German Shepherd's spine being ripped out of its body. Once you hear it you'll never forget it.
