Title: Most people do realize now that you don't even need a gym at all to stay huge!
Post by: affeman on March 25, 2020, 05:16:57 AM
Even IFBB-Pros can do a fully functional workout without a gym, just improvising on the streets!

Starting out at 07:30

I think the gym industry is done once and for all after that whole Covid-19 crisis, it's so much fun being outside and just find some random shit to lift lol

Today I was going to use a big tree limb but some jackass was sitting on it, while using his phone.  Just like at the gym.

I have a huge assortment of massive flag stones on my property. Did front squats ass to grass with a medium sized stone yesterday (probably 150lbs)

It was great, tonight looking to do a good shoulder workout  8)

I’m so sick of everyone talking about what to do without a gym.Who the fuck cares.Ive done hundreds if not thousands of workouts outside the gym.I used to stop at playgrounds and super set pull ups and dips,Push ups or bench dips with wife or kids on my lap/back.Dips in corner of counter tops or push ups with a backpack with weights in it.Calve raises with backpack on,squat with backpack on.hang from anything to work forearms.

This is all very simple common knowledge. We don’t need you tubers telling us “simpletons” how to do this stuff.

You want a workout just use your mind and you can get a good workout in.

X2

Those are the types that only "workout" if they receive attention or notoriety from it.

I have put on around 13 pounds last 3 weeks and look awesome (in my humble view). Only exercise has been swimming, boxing, and hiking. Relaxed strict diet a bit too.. Body seems to be enjoying the break and actually thriving. I do think over time though I will decline. I am yearning for a decent workout with the basics, squats, leg extensions, bench press, pull downs, dead-lifts, heavy shrugs.

It's always the fat people or those that dont have any muscle to begin with that think if you take time of you will lose all your gains. How can you lose something that you never had to begin with?

I can go weeks without the gym all still mail tain size through not being sedentary. In fact I can maintain all my mass through body weight exercises and going to the gym. Once a month.

Glad I am over that muscle anxiety phase where I needle to carry syringes and gear with through visine bottles out of scare mongering beliefs.

Exactly.

It does depend on body type I think? My metabolism is fast, so I so worry if I don't train and eat I will lose gains.

You will lose weight if you dont eat.

Common sense...

That's a lot of weight in 3 weeks.

I’ve used this down time to cleanse out for the lack of a better term.  I’m doing 16-20 hour fasts, cut meal frequency down from 6 to 3-4 depending on if I “train” that day.

I’m doing 30 mins on the treadmill daily along with walking the dog for another 20-30 min, that covers my cardio.  I’ve done legs a few times; walking lunges, tempo squats, sissy squats, body weight quad extensions, reverse lunges.  Multiple rounds of that a few days a week has me smoked and I’ve been able to maintain leg size the last month or so of no true weights, just need to get creative.

That sounds pretty badass.

Find a large rock the right shape about the size of a 50lb bag of potatoes or a small beach ball fits perfectly on your chest across your shoulders (Flat flag type stone is usually better)

I've honestly never had a workout like it and I normally ALWAYS do barbell fronts ass to grass.

I'm as sore as another fu#ker right now.

I read that Pelaton is doing very well. I see home gym sales going through the roof very soon. Not looking good for the big chains. There’s a huge Equinox near me. I don’t see how they make it going forward. Same goes for all the “Boutique” fitness studios that have been popping up lately. This panic has popped that bubble.

Could still look better than a dedicated natural lifter with subpar genetics.

That's a lot of weight in 3 weeks.

I think I might have been in a slight state of overtraining. So suddenly adding a bit of bulk. Not much fat but yes some is fat for sure. But it’s a nice change. Also eased off on strict diet a bit.
