The Gracie's have been guarding this secret very closely for decades. They have been lining up certain fighters they know they can handle while simultaneously avoiding other fighters at all costs. Gracie Jiu-jitsu is a carefully controlled myth.

Who would have won?

Honestly Tyson has strong hips and is low to the ground (short) he would have been difficult to take down add in the one punch uppercut KO ability and his numerous street fights as a kid and I am taking Tyson over Gracie. Tyson is no Art Jimmerson

Also does Tyson get a training camp with some kind of MMA coach because that would change it even more into Tyson favor dramatically

Tyson would be in the 185 class tops in MMA. The 205 guys would tower over him and reach would be an issue. There are no Berbicks and McNeeleys today in the UFC.

Tyson would never make 185lbs he was 225 and solid muscle in his prime he was heavyweight champion at 19 when do you think he was 185lbs maybe when he was 15

You also seem to forget Gracie was destroyed by Matt Hughes. Tyson is basically a better version of Rampage he would take Gracie head off it is harder to take down a shorter man less legs to shoot at and tyson would fight low he is not going to be easy to takedown and will absolutely decapitate someone taking a lazy gracie shot. One uppercut and 170lb Royce is out cold lets be real here

Training UFC Tyson would be 200 walking around fighting at 185. Rampage is 3-4" taller and goes 240+ fight weight, plus he never had the skill set of younger guys.

Could Tyson brawl Royce on the ground? Sure. Royce is built like a bird.

Wtf is training UFC?

C’mon. He just means if Tyson was modestly introduced to MMA-style training.

Don’t twist what is obvious.

In a spontaneous dust-up, prime Tyson would have punched holes into Gracie. Left him in a gruesome heap on the ground.

In a controlled “no-holds-barred” fight, with even one hour of instruction of takedown defence beforehand, Mike would have … left Royce in a gruesome heap on the mat.

Even without that bit of coaching Iron Mike would very likely have lit up Gracie like a Christmas tree.

Yet they changed the face of Martial Arts and no one can be a champ without knowledge of Jiu-Jitsu.

Too bad you weren't around during the days when our doors were open to all challengers who would get 10 grand if they could defeat a Gracie. They accepted all comers and turned down no one. They were the only ones that really put their money where their mouth is. It would be great to see what you could do.

BTW, you still can. Just walk into any BJJ school and challenge the instructor. It's done all the time and not considered out of line. I remember back in the day a professional fighter from Japan flew all the way to Cali to drop in unexpectedly to challenge Rickson. He left a bloody mess.

They deliberately did not allow high level grapplers into UFC 1 they cherry picked opponents a college division 1 champion in his prime would have beaten Royce in UFC 1. Look what Hughes did to him with basic wrestling

That Japanese fighter apologized afterwards.

But I wonder what would’ve happened if Sakuraba showed up?
