I'd go for a 3 series - the M40i version.

They made them bigger now and that engine packs a lot of punch - so you'll be getting close to M3 performance for way less cash.

If you want fun - gotta be an M or an M40i.

I dunno.

BMWs are less reliable than Mercs.

I've had one of each for the past 10 years or so - change every 3 years, although I just extended the warrantly on my C43 AMG 'cause due to covid - I've only done 26K kms in it and it's like new still.

But the BMW's have all broken down more than the Merc's. I wouldn't have 2 BMW's - cause I'd be worried of having them both in the shop and being without wheels.

BMW's are more fun to drive. Mercs more reliable.

530e then - decent performance and tres comfortable. I'd avoid the 7 series - it's like driving a boat.

The BMW SUVs I'm not so keen on.

Back 15 years ago I had a BMW from the 80's, made in Germany, and it was the smoothest ride I ever had. I don't know if those made in the USA are any good.

Everyone has an SUV these days but I still prefer a sedan. Do you have a family and need a bigger vehicle for going to practices etc?

They are great cars. More fun than Mercs for equivalent price

They make both in Thailand but last BMW we got came on a boat from Germany. No trouble yet at about 6 months old.

Maybe German built r better.

who goes to a dealer and takes images in front of cars.....?

only a cornhole who would want you to believe they are "shopping for" or own the cars.

massive insecurity and lying noted

easily the 100k iX... vasrly superior driving experience, design and everything else. Double the prive of the 3 series. All of them are great cars and even the 3 series is everything I need really. However, when you drive the iX it is difficult going back down

I discovered recently that driving with herniated disks and a bad leg is not comforable unless you have premium seats. I drive a measly 5 miles on average daily. Rarely open road and roads here are tightz really bad and you cannot go above 75 mph because of many issues. So basically it is just a quirk
