Same boat.  Tommy Hunter kicks ass.  Currently (last 10-15 years. or so), Country sucks balls.  Bluegrass is the shit, though.

I like just about any country pre 2001-2002.  Whenever it started letting pop singers label their music as country because it had a little fiddle or steel guitar in it.

This is what makes country some good music to listen to and WATCH.  The hottest looking singers are country.  I never was really into country till my daughters started listening to it all the time after I bought them horses.  It kind of grows on you
