To shave or wax... that is the question?

The other day during a program review award (aka pacifier award) after receiving my award one of my fellow office cows congratulated me with a kiss on the cheek, which would have been normally received as a pleasant reminder that I am also appreciated by my peers. My problem is that when she kissed me I felt hair stubble on her upper lip.

Question

1. Which is best for this area, shave or wax? 
2. Should I say something to her because she is a friend

but honestly if you aren't milking the cow, keep your mouth closed and belittle her by the water cooler with the rest of the bulls.
