cool thanks.  i had a program that worked well, but i had a hd failure and had to get a new one and no longer had my copy.

those all in one programs to rip dvds are the right choice for people who dont really understand/dont want to understand/dont really care about quality

But if you want to make a perfect copy, there are some manuals at doom9 that will guide you how to shrink a dvd9 in dvd5.

Anyway, you should buy a dvdr dl burner, buy dvd9 media and problem solved :)

and be sure to visit http://tdb.rpc1.org/ if you wanna play a bit more with your drive. I STRONGLY recommend the firmware hacks by tdb. I guarantee you they wont fuck your drive.

I use Handbrake to rip DVDs and Fast DVD Copy to copy DVDs.

just get a dl drive and use imgburn, no need to rip anything from dvds, thats for africans
