Early on in the pandemic [probably a year ago], a friend of mine named Karen [yes, that's her actual name - not Getbig's Karen] said to another friend "I bet all the states with the highest numbers are the Republican states."
Meanwhile, in REALITY, the opposite of that was the truth, with Democratic states having the highest numbers.
Although that's not even to blame either party - I think that Democratic states tend to have a higher population density. So...that probably plays a role. It's a bit harder to spread viruses in places like Maine - go look at East Millinocket, Maine, on Google Maps. It's a bit of a distance from Millinocket, Maine, let alone other cities in the state.
Naturally, in a spacious state like Maine that does not have a huge population density, you'd expect a lower virus spread due to reduced contact between people thanks to just having a lower population density overall.
That's not a Republican/Democrat thing.
That's why I can't stand talking to leftists/liberals - like seriously, who the f*ck makes a comment blaming Republicans for viral spread, as if people's concerns about a global pandemic is a left/right thing.
Of course that was EARLY in the pandemic...NOW, I think it's very obvious that COVID was nothing BUT a political topic.
But at first when we didn't know, I didn't get ANY perception that people were concerned or unconcerned about COVID based on political party affiliation.
Now, I would say that views on COVID most definitely vary by political leaning, and soon enough, the only people who will still be subscribing to the official COVID narrative are the lazy c-unts collecting stimulus or unemployment checks. Apparently, Canada is STILL giving out something like $1,800 a month on the honour system, to anyone who applies for the CERB payment, or whatever it is called now.
