'Laverne & Shirley' Actor Cindy Williams Dead at 75

A family statement Monday announced her death, "The passing of our kind, hilarious mother, Cindy Williams, has brought us insurmountable sadness that could never truly be expressed.” It continues, “Knowing and loving her has been our joy and privilege. She was one of a kind, beautiful, generous and possessed a brilliant sense of humor and a glittering spirit that everyone loved.”

Williams played alongside Penny Marshall on the popular sitcom for it's 8 seasons from 1976 to 1983. "Laverne & Shirley" was a spin-off of "Happy Days."

The show had a ton of success, at one point becoming the most-watched sitcom in The United States and netting 6 Golden Globes nominations and one Emmy nomination.

Williams left "Laverne & Shirley" during the 8th season when she became pregnant. However, her career saw her take on projects on Broadway, make guest appearances on shows like "8 Simple Rules" and even reunite with Penny Marshall on an episode of "Sam & Cat" in 2013.

Lisa Loring, who played Wednesday Addams in classic 1960s sitcom "The Addams Family," dies at 64

Lisa Loring, who played Wednesday on the original "The Addams Family" -- the classic 1960s sitcom -- died Saturday. She was 64.

Loring's agent, Chris Carbaugh of C and V Promotions, confirmed to CBS News in a statement that Loring died on Saturday "surrounded by her family. Lisa was a very loving mother, grandmother and friend with a lifetime of amazing stories and experiences.

"She brought to life one of the most iconic characters in Hollywood history that is still celebrated today. Lisa loved sharing her memories and meeting all her fans across the world. She will be missed dearly."

Loring played a young Wednesday Addams from 1964 to 1966 and also appeared in "As the World Turns."

News of her death was originally reported by The Hollywood Reporter.

The publication says she was six years old when she started in the sitcom.

It also says Loring died in a Burbank, Calif. hospital of "complications from a stroke caused by high blood pressure," citing her daughter, Vanessa Foumberg.

Loring reprised the role in the 1977 television movie "Halloween with the New Addams Family," according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Wednesday Addams is the subject of the runaway Netflix hit, "Wednesday."

Cindy Williams... :'(

She passed 5 days ago.  None of my damn business, but I find it interesting that the death of a public figure - even a minor one - can be concealed for that long.

She died of a "short illness." I wonder what that could be?  RIP

Spanish fashion designer Paco Rabanne has died at the age of 88, the Business of Fashion reports. The news was confirmed on Friday morning by Puig, the beauty and fashion conglomerate that controls the Paco Rabanne fashion and fragrance brands.

Rabanne was a pioneer of fashion’s space-age movement, inspired by the then-ongoing space race in the ’60s. The revolutionary designer used materials like metal and plastic to create dresses and accessories made of chainmail and paillettes that brought glamour to a Jetsons-like fantasy of the future. Boundary-pushing pieces in silver and gold metals soon became his signature. The futuristic materials and silhouettes were a favorite among stars like Peggy Guggenheim and Françoise Hardy, and were worn by Jane Fonda in Barbarella.

Rabanne told the New York Times in 2017 he saw creating armor-like designs for women as political. “In France, during the ’60s, we had a similar women’s liberation movement as in America.” He explained, “At the same time I was doing the costumes for the movie Barbarella. So it was a moment when women emerged to be warriors because they needed to affirm their desire of emancipation, freedom, and liberty.”

Rabanne was influenced by fashion at an early age — his mother was a seamstress for Cristobal Balenciaga. Rabanne went on to study architecture at l’École Nationale des Beaux-Arts and did stints in construction and drawing fashion sketches before going on to design jewelry at Dior, Balenciaga, and Givenchy and eventually launching his own line in 1966. Soon after, Rabanne signed a deal with Puig to launch the brand’s best-selling fragrances.

Rabanne often took inspiration from the mythical and astrological, describing himself as clairvoyant and recounting his experiences with mysticism and predictions in a book. His values of mysticism became a heavy theme in his work, as Julien Dossena — the current creative director for the Paco Rabanne fashion brand — told Hero Magazine in 2020.

Rabanne retired from the fashion world in the late ’90s to pursue art. Dossena thanked the late designer on Instagram for the legacy he left behind. Dossena’s latest ready-to-wear collection for Paco Rabanne is scheduled to show during Paris Fashion Week.

Whoops, misremembered my hollywood horror starlets, it was Cassandra "Elvira" Peterson Tom tore up -

From an old Stern show -

"After the game Howard spent some time talking to Casandra. When she was a young woman she worked as a topless show girl in Las Vegas. She was a virgin when she moved there at age 17. She said she went from being a girl scout to being a topless dancer. She stayed a virgin until she was 19. The man who took her virginity was singer Tom Jones who is rumored to have a huge penis. According to Casandra he had such a huge penis that he ripped her open when he had sex with her. She said it hurt so much that she cried. She actually had to go to the hospital to get stitches to repair the rip. Tom Jones hasn't spoken to her since then. Casandra was also in to promote an Imax film that she's appearing in called ''Encounters In The 3rd Dimension''. That starts at the end of the month. She's also selling Elvira merchandise and CD's."

19:50 here -

.

Lisa Loring was a makeup artist in porn at one point, and married a guy named Jerry Butler. She had a rough life, I think through the 70's and 80's she had a bad addiction problem. She was really cute for a lot of years -
