squatting injury
« on: December 30, 2006, 08:45:14 PM »
I was squatting heavy the other day and I noticed some pain in my lower back? A day or 2 later. I got a little lower back pain still. Whats the deal?

I've had it when I did heavy weights, but I think it was due to leaning forward slightly.  I guess wearing a belt would make you aware that you were doing that.
It hasn't helped...

you probably caused harm already. Belt is what you should have use and its not gonna fix the pain if you already damaged something.

go do a CAT scan (forget xrays, they show nothing).
I wish i had stopped and done it when i had my back starting to hurt a bit. Now its a full disc protrusion that keeps me from doing 90% of exercises in the gym and 90% of physical activities on my social/work life.

catch them early, its what i say.

good luck
