$400 Hair

I recently heard John Edwards paid $400 for a haircut.  It kinda makes you wonder how a person who puts that much emphasis on looks or physical appearance can be respected.  Or at least it makes me wonder that.

Can anyone tell me why they'd vote for a person who does this?
