I will continue to work on mobility (it's part of my program, but i always skipped it) so I can eventually do one of those fucking things.

Dude you should try the stretching (no homo) routine I posted awhile back.
It really does help.

On the main board, not sure who started the thread but it was wes or Josh posting about flexibility.

Anyone else do pull-ups.
I fucking hate them >:(
Forever I’ve been trying to do 4 sets of 10.
Tonight was the closest I’ve gotten.
3 sets of 10 and 7 on the last set >:(

I do pullups.  Not sure I've ever done 4x10, that's pretty good.

I do them all the time, and don't like any rep over five lol.

4 x 10 full range, I would consider very good.

To improve, do them every day, in small clusters, like the following:

1 pull up
(Rest)
2 pull ups
(Rest)
3 pull ups
(Rest)
1 pull up
(Rest)
2 pull ups
(Rest)
3 pull ups
(Rest)

That's 12 total reps

Aim to rest 5-10s between reps

You'll improve quickly.

Other tricks are: wrap hands "over" the bar, flex abs and ass, be slightly concave with legs forward a bit, not crossed behind.  It limits sway, which helps.

Hulkotron Squat Challenge:

This morning I did a 100-rep squat workout, 10 sets of 10 reps with 135 lbs, max rest of one minute.  Light weight by getbigger standards but I was pleased with it.  I only weigh about 170 right now.

How much weight could you complete this workout with?

Being much larger than you at 173, I can easily........uh I'd probably just do the same.

No idea, years ago I did that with 225 and I almost threw up by the last set.
I’m at 209lb right now and want to get to 200lb
Trying overhead squats tonight.

I did this a couple of weeks ago, good cardio but I wasn't nearly as sore as I thought I'd be. Workouts have been jack shit since Thanksgiving. I need to get my ass under some big ass weights soon.

Once I tried overhead squats it gave me a whole new respect for people that do Olympic snatches.

It’s definitely feels different, are you suppose to be up on your toes more?
Easy to lose your balance.

I find I have to take a much wider stance than I normally would and also have to grip the bar very wide.

10x10x225 is a monster squat workout even at 200 lbs bodyweight.  Everyone on the G&O is a beast of course but in my experience it's pretty rare to see someone doing 225+ with high reps and good form for lots of sets.

I tried this again today with 160 but was only able to do 6-7 reps.  Could have done 10 on the first few sets of course (I'm not that much of a weakling) but the point of these is to average a consistent number of reps so I like to leave quite a bit of "gas in the tank" (no homo) on the first half of the workout.

I use an empty bar and do a few sets to stretch for squats and deadlifts. I feel like it stretches the hips/low back and I notice a difference in my lifts.

I'm old. :(

Finally did 4x10 for pull-ups.
I took a a little rest before my last set and that’s not something I usually do.

Squats are full time again in my leg workouts.

Bullying should be allowed in gyms. There are way to many young guys that weigh less then 1/2 of wes after he starves himself for a show but with 1/4 of the muscle in both gyms I go to. All in wife beaters or cut off sleeves making muscles in the mirrors and taking pics.

...When I was young and started in the gym and you tried to dress like that you'd get called out for it and be made to feel foolish.

I like to go over and work out next to those guys, same lifts, triple the weight.

I am wondering if full ass to grass squats are beneficial.

Every time I have done them I pull or tweak something stupid.

I literally strained the front inner part of my shin, and there's nothing there.

OR, I'm just suffering from extremely poor mobility and need to push through.

Full range I feel squats mostly in my hips and lower back.  If I want them to "hit my quads" (oh brother), I have to do them a little shallower.
