Biden Claims He 'Became A Professor’ After He Left the Obama Admin, Except He Never Taught A Class

Democrats really have locked themselves into a box in their race to find a presidential nominee.

Their two top guys, one is a radical socialist, the other can’t seem to keep anything he says straight.

This is Joe Biden’s third time trying for the brass ring.

In 1988 he had to drop out after he got caught lying about his background and plagiarizing a speech. In 2008, he dropped out early on when he couldn’t win a primary.
 
He still hasn’t won a primary but may be about to on Saturday.

But now questions are being raised about his claim that after he left the White House, he “became a teacher, I became a professor.”

You can hear him saying it hear on Wednesday in South Carolina at about :28 and actually he doesn’t even say it right, he says “when he left the U.S. Senate,” he’s trying to say that he did that rather than taking a Wall Street job.

Except that isn’t quite true.

While he did become a “professor,” being named the “Benjamin Franklin Presidential Practice Professor” for the University of Pennsylvania, he never actually taught anything nor did they expect him to teach anything, according to the Daily Caller.

“He will not be teaching classes,” Biden spokesperson Kate Bedingfield said in 2017.

One article at The Daily Pennsylvanian featured the headline “No One Is Really Sure What Joe Biden Will Be Doing At Penn.”

UPenn announced Biden’s hiring on February 7, just a week after he left office, and by the end of February Biden’s role was “still uncertain” and “being ironed out,” University spokesperson Stephen MacCarthy told the Pennsylvanian.

What does seem to be true is that he was paid a ton of money for what looks like about four speeches a year each in 2017 and then in 2018. For that, he got $776, 527.

According to Vice Provost Anita Allen he was hired to “lead the Washington D.C. Penn Biden Center” which didn’t open until 2018 and he took a leave of absence to run for president in April 2019.

So basically what it appears to be is them buying Biden for prestige and connections, to have that connection. And what a deal for him, to get more than three quarters of a million for basically showing his face a few times a year. That might pay more than a Wall Street job, certainly for the time put in. A Wall Street job would have required much more effort.

U.S.—The Biden campaign is facing a real communication problem as Joe Biden's speeches are growing more and more nonsensical. In order to overcome this challenge, aides have hired an interpreter to translate everything he says into normal, human-style English.


"My fellow Americans, pickle hamster meatloaf. The thing. Potato!" Biden began.

"My fellow Americans, thank you for being here this evening," the interpreter translated.

Biden continued: "This pandemic has cost us more than 85,000 jobs as of today. Lives of millions of people. Millions of people. Millions of jobs." He then nodded at the translator to interpret that into something resembling plain English.

"Uh... the, uh, pandemic has cost us tens of millions of jobs, and 85,000 have tragically lost their lives," she interpreted frantically.

But she struggled to keep up as his speech got less and less coherent.

"Peanut butter M&Ms and my fellow U.S. Americans in the Iraq. Platypus!" was translated as "We must make sure Donald Trump does not continue to rob America of its future," while "Farley farley farley farley farley hufaaaaaaaar!" was translated as "I am the best choice to beat Donald Trump."

As Biden's speech concluded, he said farewell: "Ekki-Ekki-Ekki-Ekki-PTANG. Zoom-Boing. Z' nourrwringmm!"

Rather than argue this, let me remind you all that I have never thought Biden was a good choice of candidates for the office of President of the United States. In fact, I believe I've maintained all along that he is too old (and quite possibly feeble minded) to fill the position of President as was Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren. But this doesn't mean I will be voting for Trump. Because nothing and no one is going to make me believe in snake oil or drink the Kool Aid.

Presumptive 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden held a "virtual roundtable" Thursday afternoon where he again struggled badly to communicate as his verbal gaffes continue to pile up.


The roundtable featured Biden along with Michigan Gov. Whitmer, New Jersey Gov. Murphy, and Connecticut Gov. Lamont, discussing the coronavirus pandemic.

Like other recent Biden virtual events, Thursday's was marked by technical hiccups like visual and audio glitches, along with the former vice president getting his tongue tied in knots:

Biden said at the beginning of the event:

You know, and we're in a position where, you know we just got new unemployment insurance, this morning, uh, numbers — 36.5 million claims since this crisis began."

President Trump continues to poke at Biden over his gaffes and suggest that he is mentally unfit for office. On Thursday the president said, "Joe has absolutely no idea what's happening," and, "He doesn't know he's alive."

I think they sort of got forced into it.

You had Bernie really starting to heat up by taking the first 3 states(Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada) and was a serious threat to take the nomination, especially with a crowded field. Problem is, the DNC want nothing to do with that guy.

I think they honestly would have preferred Warren or Buttigieg to Joe but South Carolina was next on the schedule and Biden just dominated that state. At this point the die is sort of cast and some phone calls were likely made behind the scenes for Mayor Pete and Amy to drop out.

Bloomberg comes in and his campaign falls as flat as a fart in church and Pocahontas is just so unlikeable and cringeworthy. Neither one of those really ever had a chance.

And the black vote is so critical within the Democratic party and Biden is BY FAR the most viable out of all those I just mentioned.

I just don't think they expected Biden's mental facilities to decline this rapidly but how can you really replace him? Bernie Sanders is the second place guy so he would be the obvious choice but that's simply not going to happen.

So you just spit into the face of all the Bernie Bros yet another time by playing dictator and giving it to somebody like Hillary?

Even if Biden DOES beat Trump in this election that is almost certainly going to lead to dominate Republican victories in 2022 and 2024. Could you imagine 4 more years of cognitive decline or the presidency being passed over to a Kamala Harris or Stacey Abrams?

Joe Biden on Thursday compared the death of George Floyd to the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. in 1968, saying Floyd’s death had a bigger global "impact" than King’s.

At an economic reopening roundtable in Philadelphia, the former vice president spoke of how the advent of smartphones had precipitated global participation in the movement against police brutality and racial injustice.

“Even Dr. King’s assassination did not have the worldwide impact that George Floyd’s death did,” Biden said.

“It’s just like television changed the Civil Rights movement for the better when they saw Bull Connor and his dogs ripping the clothes off of elderly black women going to church and firehoses ripping the skin off of young kids,” he continued.

“What happened to George Floyd — now you got how many people around the country, millions of cell phones. It’s changed the way everybody’s looking at this,” he continued. “Look at the millions of people marching around the world.”

Biden both met with Floyd’s family and sent a video message for his funeral in the days following his death in police custody. He said that African-Americans live with the fear of wondering if they’ll be next.

“People all across this country are enraged and rightly so. Everyday African-Americans go about their lives with constant anxiety and trauma of wondering, ‘Will I be next?’ Sounds like an exaggeration but it’s not,” Biden said on May 29.

The former White House doctor who gave a glowing report in 2018 about then-President Donald Trump’s cognitive abilities is calling on President Joe Biden to take the same test.

U.S. Rep. Ronny Jackson, R-Texas, led a group of 14 Republicans who sent Biden a letter on Thursday urging him to take a cognitive test and make the results public.

The freshman Congressman served as White House physician under former presidents George W. Bush, Barack Obama and Trump. In 2018, he gave Trump a clean bill of health after an annual physical and cognitive test that came amid questions about Trump’s mental fitness to serve.

At the time, Jackson said it was the first instance he knew of a cognitive test being administered to a sitting president, saying Trump was “mentally very sharp.”

“We believe that, regardless of gender, age, or political party, all presidents should follow the precedent set by former President Trump to document and demonstrate sound mental abilities,” Jackson and his Republican colleagues wrote in their June 17 letter to Biden.

The Trump campaign made Biden’s mental fitness a major piece of its 2020 campaign. In campaign ads and rallies, Trump sought to paint Biden as mentally unfit to serve. His mental fitness has been a regular target for misinformation spreading online.
