T-bar rows are brutal on the lower back.

He gets a nasty stretch of the traps and mid-back, that's about it. Bad for bicep tendons, luckily the hands are pronated. Hard stretching isn't altogether useless, after all traps can grow from deadlifts where there's no range of motion, no shrug.

I was going to write the same thing- if you want to destroy a disc that is a go to exercise :)

Good mornings are one of the best exercises ever, at least I felt they were for me. Standing to different heights, even seated straddling a bench.

In strict form, with handeable weights, i liked it. Now my back doesn't allow it anymore.

Dumbest exercise is barbell hip thrusts. I don't know how this fad became such a big thing.
My regular gym underwent a refurb and both a hip thrust bench and machine. And possibly still take up benches, bars and racks doing this POS exercise.

I think it's one of the greatest exercises.  The glute bring the femur to a rear position. It increases sprinting and jumping strength.  Use one of those hip machines for awhile and tell me it did nothing for you athletically.

In women the bar sits close or on top of the uterus. The constant pounding might cause scar tissue wich can't be good in the long run.

you know what i love Barbell rows But then i saw this guy many years back using a wide grip on seated cable rows & thought that might work.
T-Bar Rows an exercise i always avoided. one arm DB rows are a different animal, gave me the best results.

I DO THEM STILL...but like someone said like stiff legged dlifts for ham heavier you go it loses it impact...i think on a standard tbar row machine 3 plates is plenty on the floor version bar/handle you use for cable rows using 25's  plates is better for some reason.

People either discount or just don't know enough about chest supported rows either with a BB or DB. Just as effective and a low back saver in the long run.
