Why wouldn't the Scottish folks vote for independence?
« on: September 17, 2014, 12:55:52 PM »
I realize that there is a thread similar to this, but as an American, I see no reason why they would not want to separate.  If you are a country, and can stand on your own two feet, why not just break away from a group that seems to be opening its borders to let other people in?  And for the ones who do not see it as a big deal, or to have any meaning outside of the UK, you are wrong.  This can be a landmark decision in the West pushing back against the multicultural agenda.  There is nothing wrong with being nationalistic in my mind, in fact, it makes ones country better, as you have a reason to be competitive.  You should not have to hold that in except once every four years during an Olympic Games, it should be something you are proud of daily.  My situation is different, as I am an American, the so called Melting Pot.  I don't mind it here, but it just seems that the whole world wants to force this change upon us, and this is a way of pushing back.

William Wallace is turning over in his grave... graves.... well, atleast his pieces are turning over. He was hacked into pieces and tossed in the four corners of the country for wanting to break away from England.

I totally agree. I'm voting NO. I predict NO will win 60 40 after all the hullabaloo over the past week.
