What was the goal of the Jan 6th crowd and who stated that goal?

The goal was to disrupt the electoral process taking place that day. Between November 3, 2020, and January 6, 2021, Trump tirelessly and repeatedly fired up his MAGA base to protest the election results which he hoped would overturn the election. His speech on the morning of January 6, 2021, was his ultimate instigation to which his followers complied. However, overturning the election failed and the electoral process continued once the Capitol was cleared, and Biden became President.

Well here is one that won't complain about going to prison.   Sentencing him to lock up with other males isn't exactly a punishment.  Another White Claw drinker no doubt.  I bet his biggest complaint is that he only got two years.

This Proud Boi and Oath Keepers group is quite laughable.  Trans members, gay porn members, women members, handicap, disabled, living with mommy, unemployed on the dole, etc...  Who would have thought a right wing retard hate group would be so progressive?  Didn't know they were so woke.   :D

Florida gay adult film star and Proud Boy sentenced over January 6 insurrection
https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=Florida+gay+adult+film+star+and+Proud+Boy+sentenced+over+January+6+insurrection

Steven Miles, best known for his gay adult film persona Sergeant Miles, was sentenced to two years in prison followed by another year of supervised release after he pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer during the January 6 protests and riots in Washington D.C.

Miles, 40, of Zephyrhills, Florida, a member of the Proud Boys group, breached a protective perimeter around the Capitol building and engaged in a physical confrontation with police protecting the building. He was arrested on Tuesday, April 12, 2022.

He has reportedly voiced support for former President Donald Trump. In a complaint filed by the DOJ, there's a photo of Miles wearing a black shirt that reads "Trump 2020 F*** Your Feelings" along with a "Make America Great Again" red hat.

“The confrontation between the mob and the police quickly escalated to a physical fight, during which Miles shoved and attempted to punch an officer, all in an effort to break through the line,” the DOJ said in a statement. “In addition to attempting to assault the officer, Miles made additional physical contact with law enforcement officers, seeking to obstruct, impede, and interfere with their efforts to hold back the rioters.”

Once inside the building, Miles used a wooden plank to break a door window, opening another breach point.

“Miles entered the Capitol through the broken window, and. a cascade of other rioters followed, taking advantage of the smashed window to enter the Capitol as well,” the DOJ continued in its statement. “The sheer number of rioters outside and inside the building overwhelmed law enforcement officers. After entering the Capitol building, Miles turned toward the Senate, where he ran into another group of police officers who directed him out of the building three minutes after he had broken into it.”

Miles appeared in dozens of gay videos including 50 Minutes of Good Sex, Scruff in Suits, and Punishing the Hole: Scene 1.

The couple that does crime together shall do time together (separately of course.   :D   )

The arrests are still coming.  Charges still rolling in on people each month.  I can't imagine the anxiety these idiots have with living a life of looking over their shoulder.  And once the Dems get around to the original unedited video tapes without the blurry faces.... even more people will be charged.  GOOD TIMES!

A Texas couple including a man who in 2022 ran a failed campaign for a seat in the Texas House of Representatives have been found guilty of several felony and misdemeanor crimes for their part in the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol, according to a news release from the Department of Justice.

Mark Middleton, 55, and Jalise Middleton, 54, both of Forestburg, Texas, were found guilty by a federal jury of two counts of assaulting, resisting or impeding officers; civil disorder; and obstruction of an official proceeding., according to the release. All of those charges were felonies.

Federal investigators determined Mark Middleton and Jalise Middleton took part in the breach of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, when insurrectionists tried to stop a joint session of Congress working to certify the 2020 presidential election results.

The two were also convicted of entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds, engaging in physical violence in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly conduct in the Capitol grounds or building, and acts of physical violence in the Capitol grounds or building, all misdemeanors.

Mark Middleton and Jalise Middleton will be sentenced June 12 by U.S. District Judge Randolph D. Moss, in Washington, D.C., according to the DOJ.

Imprisoned Jan. 6 rioter faces five additional felony charges
https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=Imprisoned+Jan.+6+rioter+faces+five+additional+felony+charges

A defendant in the Jan. 6 U.S. Capitol riot who was arrested near the Washington residence of former President Barack Obama has been indicted on five new felony charges, officials announced Thursday.

Taylor Taranto is facing charges related to guns and ammunition that were allegedly found in his van when he was arrested last summer. He also faces charges for threatening to detonate an explosive at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, and a charge of obstruction of an official proceeding for his conduct on Jan. 6, 2021, when rioters, some of whom were armed, stormed the Capitol at the behest of then-President Donald Trump, who lost the 2020 election but refused to concede, and instead fomented violence and unrest on Congress as lawmakers gathered to vote to certify the election for Joe Biden.

Obama's address became public when Trump posted a photo on his Truth Social online platform on June 29 that included it.

Taranto reposted Trump's post on his own Truth Social account, then posted about being outside the residence that same day, prosecutors said.

A group of armchair investigators referred to as 'sedition hunters' initially identified Taranto in 2021 as having taken part in the Capitol riot, but he was not arrested until he was detained near Obama's home two years later.

Accused Jan. 6 rioter faces new charge in Sacramento of receiving child pornography
https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=Accused+Jan.+6+rioter+faces+new+charge+in+Sacramento+of+receiving+child+pornography

A Citrus Heights man charged in December with taking part in the Jan. 6 Capitol Riot is now facing new federal charges of receiving child pornography, officials said Tuesday.

Kyle Travis Colton, 36, was indicted last week by a federal grand jury on a charge of receiving one or more images of “children engaged in sexually explicit conduct” between July 2022 and December 2023, U.S. Attorney Phil Talbert’s office said after the indictment was unsealed Tuesday morning. The charge could result in a prison sentence of up to 20 years and a $250,000 fine.

Colton is accused in the indictment of involvement in child pornography through Dec. 14, the day before he was arrested in Folsom on charges from federal court in Washington, D.C., in the Jan. 6 case filed there.

Colton’s federal defender, Doug Beevers, declined comment Tuesday.

Colton originally appeared in Sacramento federal court on the Capitol Riot charges on Dec. 15 and was ordered released on his own recognizance. A week later, a magistrate judge in Washington, D.C., also ordered Colton to remain free pending the outcome of that case.

Online booking records for the Sacramento County Main Jail show Colton subsequently was booked Friday and is being held without bail pending a court hearing Tuesday afternoon on the pornography charge.

He is charged in Washington with obstruction of law enforcement during civil disorder, entering or remaining in a restricted building without authority, disorderly conduct in a restricted building and on Capitol grounds and parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol building.

Colton came to the FBI’s attention in the Jan. 6 case after receiving a tip that he bragged to passengers on a plane returning to California on Jan. 7, 2021, that he was in the “second wave” of protesters who breached the U.S. Capitol building that day, court records say.

The FBI confirmed that Colton had purchased an airline ticket Jan. 2, 2021, to travel to Washington on Jan. 5 and return on Jan. 7, court records say, and agents interviewed two other passengers on the return flight, court records say.

“These interviews revealed that Colton discussed with Witness 1 and Witness 2, who were sitting near Colton on the flight, entering the United States Capitol Building in the ‘second wave,’” court records say. “Colton also showed Witness 2 pictures from the rally at the Ellipse and a video depicting other rioters pushing and struggling with law enforcement taken from inside of the U.S. Capitol building.”

Court documents filed in Washington say video footage from inside the Capitol shows Colton “not obeying orders by the officers to leave the Rotunda and Colton standing in line with rioters as these other rioters had confrontations with the officers.”

“These officers had initiated crowd clearing measures to include forming a police line, giving loud verbal commands, and using batons to move persons towards the exit door,” court records say. “Colton only moved when the crowd was physically pushed towards the exit.

“Furthermore, Colton remained standing side-by-side with these other rioters who were combating law enforcement officers. At one point, Colton grabbed a flagpole that was being used by a rioter to assault (Metropolitan Police Department) Officer K.D. “Colton gained control of the flagpole, which Officer K.D. had also grabbed, and then gave it back to this rioter, who then fled into the crowd of rioters with the flagpole.”

Man who authorities say bragged of ‘kinda’ breaking Pelosi sign on Jan. 6 arrested
https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=Man+who+authorities+say+bragged+of+%E2%80%98kinda%E2%80%99+breaking+Pelosi+sign+on+Jan.+6+arrested

An Oregon man who allegedly broke a Speaker of the House sign during the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol has been arrested, authorities say.

David Medina, 34, was arrested on felony and misdemeanor charges, the U.S. attorney’s office in Washington announced Friday. He is charged with multiple misdemeanor charges, including destruction of government property, entering or remaining in a restricted area without authority and disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted area, among others.

According to court documents, Medina was identified in open-source images and video footage as slamming the wooden sign above the Speaker’s office, which read, “Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi” in an attempt to break it. He was then seen next to other rioters who were holding pieces of the broken sign, according to the documents.

After the attack, authorities said he attempted to “make light of his participation in the riot.” According to an affidavit written by an FBI special agent, a post by a Twitter user included an Instagram Live clip taken by Medina on Jan. 7 showing him describing his experience at the insurrection.

“So as these guys break into the Capitol, obviously the doors are wide open. I walk in and I am screaming ‘1776,’ cause it’s powerful man. It’s a powerful move, a powerful time,” Medina says, according to the affidavit.

He went on to say, “We weren’t, you know, breaking windows, we weren’t breaking stuff,” according to the affidavit before saying that he “kinda” broke the Speaker sign.

“Ummm, I know someone had torn down Speaker Pelosi’s wooden sign above her door and there was like fragments of it like on the ground, and I just took a piece and I just kinda broke it in half. It felt so good,” he said.

The press release announcing his arrest noted that Medina was also identified waving “an ornate American flag,” which authorities said appeared to be an indoor ceremonial flag taken from inside the Capitol.

More than 1,133 people have been charged in nearly every state since the attack on the Capitol, which includes more than 469 individuals charged with assaulting or impeding law enforcement, according to the D.C. U.S. attorney’s office.

All in a span of a week I’ve:

-Lost my State government job
-Been charged with crimes that carry 3 year prison max
-Watched my mother fight for her life

And the crazy thing is, I have a peace unlike anything I’ve ever felt in my life.

How?

One word: Jesus.

Don’t get me wrong, I feel the weight. It’s just not controlling me.

God is real and he can give you the same peace with whatever you’re going through in life.

Jan. 6 rioter who assaulted police calls for 'accountability' for 2020 election lies
https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=Jan.+6+rioter+who+assaulted+police+calls+for+%27accountability%27+for+2020+election+lies

A Minnesota man convicted of assaulting multiple officers during the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol called for "accountability" for politicians who spread lies about the 2020 election during his sentencing hearing on Thursday.

Brian Mock was sentenced to 33 months in federal prison, a fraction of the nine years in federal prison that prosecutors had sought. A government sentencing memo noted Mock's repeated assaults on law enforcement and the "multiple false statements" he made at trial. With credit for time he's already served, Mock will end up serving less than two years of additional time behind bars.

Mock, who was a strong supporter of Donald Trump, said during his sentencing hearing that he heard the "same thing over and over again" from Republican politicians who falsely claimed that there was massive election fraud in 2020. Mock noted that none of those prominent politicians who made such claims in the lead-up to the Jan. 6 attack had since come forward to apologize or to claim that they too were duped.

"There should be some accountability for that because I wouldn't have been there otherwise," Mock told Chief U.S. District Judge James Boasberg on Thursday.

Boasberg said he agreed that politicians who falsely claimed the election was stolen should be "ashamed of themselves."

Many Jan. 6 defendants have taken the "idiot" defense during their sentencing proceedings, telling judges they believed lies about the election because they were gullible, duped, manipulated, poorly educated or lacked critical thinking skills. Boasberg said he had gotten to know Mock better than any other Jan. 6 defendant who appeared before him and said he believed Mock was intelligent and reflective.

"You're too smart to have been fooled by the lies on the election," Boasberg said, saying Mock should have been "more perceptive and thoughtful" about the lies he was hearing from politicians who echoed Trump's falsehoods about the election.

Mock represented himself at trial in June, creating an extraordinary moment when he questioned his own son, A.J. Mock — who tipped the FBI off about his father after the attack. Questioning his son on the stand, Mock asked about his son's sexuality, seeking to introduce the fact that he accepted his son after A.J. Mock came out.

“You know I’m proud of you, right?” Brian Mock asked.

“Yes,” A.J. Mock replied.

“And you know I love you, right?” Brian Mock asked.

“Yes,” A.J. Mock replied.

Prosecutors also noted in their sentencing memo that during the trial Mock presented Tommy Tatum, a Jan. 6 participant who frequents the trials of Capitol rioters, as an “independent journalist." When playing Tatum’s videos, prosecutors said Mock “deliberately tried to hide from the Court Tatum’s encouragement of the mob to assault police officers and steal their gear by playing Tatum’s video on mute.” Tatum has not been charged in connection with the Capitol attack.

After the bench trial, Mock was found guilty of four assaults on law enforcement.

In the months after NBC News reported on the "family therapy session" that broke out during his trial, Mock and his son A.J. spoke with The New York Times for a feature story, in which prosecutors say the elder Mock "continued to justify his actions on January 6, refused to accept responsibility, and advanced excuses for his criminal conduct that the Court already rejected."

But Boasberg said he thought the story was "humanizing" and understood why Mock had participated. Mock said during the hearing that he was apprehensive about participating in the piece, but that his son A.J. Mock "wanted" and "needed" that article to happen.

Mock said that he's been in regular contact with the photographer who shot photos for the piece, Erin Schaff, who was assaulted during the Capitol attack. Rioters knocked Schaff down onto the floor, stole one of her cameras and broke the lens on another. Online "sedition hunters" — the citizen sleuths who have aided the FBI in hundreds of Capitol rioter cases — say that they have identified two of Schaff's assailants and sent their information to the FBI but neither has been arrested. The FBI put out a public call for information on one of the assailants last month, even though sleuths say that rioter's name is already in the bureau's possession.

Michelle Peterson, an attorney representing Mock, said in a court filing that Mock "has grown, matured, and become much more self-reflective" since the Capitol attack. In court Thursday, she talked about the ongoing discussions that Mock had with Schaff, saying that hearing about the impact that Jan. 6 had on Schaff had almost been like a form of "restorative justice."

In an interview with NBC News after his sentencing, Brian Mock slightly changed his tune from what he said in court, suggesting he was open to the possibility that evidence about the 2020 election had been “suppressed” by the courts.

Mock said he came to Washington, D.C., after the 2020 election because he was “listening to politicians who were congressmen and senators who had looked at the evidence and supported what was being said. And I have yet to see that evidence.”

“But if it doesn’t exist, then at the very least there needs to be an apology and explanation for that," Mock said.

“When you have officials telling you over and over again — the people we elected — to go ‘No, this isn’t right,’ then I think that’s our duty to question that. And if they were saying we’re going to stand up in Congress and say that something was wrong with this election, ‘we’re going to vote to decertify this,’ those are powerful words," he continued.

“Whatever made them make those statements, I would hope it wasn’t just to get their guy in the White House, I would hope there’s more than that," Mock said. "I would like to see that evidence and I think the rest of the world would too. And if there isn’t, I would like an explanation from those people as to why there wasn’t, because this has ruined a lot of lives.”

Asked about Boasberg's comments that he was too intelligent to have fallen for lies about the election, Mock said that a "full spectrum" of people showed up in Washington on Jan. 6, 2021.

"I'm not going to sit here and say that there were all the brightest people that showed up on Jan. 6, there were some flat-out morons that showed up there," Mock said. "But there was some really intelligent, engaged people and I've had deep conversations with some extremely intelligent individuals who looked at that day — Election Day — and thought, 'Something isn't right here.'"

Mock will have to report to prison in about two months to begin serving his term. Nearly 1,300 people have been arrested in connection with the Jan. 6 attack. Prosecutors have secured more than 900 convictions and sentences have ranged from probation for unlawful picketing charges to 22 years in federal prison for seditious conspiracy.

Kankakee County man pleads guilty to assaulting police during Jan. 6 capitol breach
https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=Kankakee+County+man+pleads+guilty+to+assaulting+police+during+Jan.+6+capitol+breach

An Illinois man pleaded guilty on Tuesday to assaulting police officers during the capitol riots on Jan. 6, 2021.

Quinn Keen, 36, of Manteno, pleaded guilty to a felony offense of assaulting, resisting, or impeding certain officers.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Keen broke through the restricted perimeter of the U.S. Capitol just before 1:15 p.m. on Jan. 6, 2021. He then was met by U.S. Capitol and Metropolitan police officers as they formed a line behind bike rack barricades to restrict the crowd from further advancement at the Lower West Terrace.

Keen confronted the police line and threw a water bottle at the officers just before other rioters pulled the barricade from authorities to the ground. A Metropolitan police officer attempted to pick up the barricade Keen shoved the officer away.

One minute later, Keen then threw a metal travel mug at the other officer in the police line.

Just after 2:30 p.m., Keen entered the Capitol building and traveled with other rioters up a staircase and into the Capitol Rotunda. While in the Rotunda, Keen and other rioters smoke marijuana before making their way to the Senate chamber.

Around 3:15 p.m., Keen exited the Capitol building.

Keen was arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) on April 6, 2023. He will be sentenced on Thursday, June 27.

North Texas man sentenced to prison for shoving officer at Jan. 6 Capitol riot
https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=North+Texas+man+sentenced+to+prison+for+shoving+officer+at+Jan.+6+Capitol+riot

A North Texas man was sentenced to prison for shoving a police officer and attempting to break a window during the riot at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, the U.S. Attorney’s Office District of Columbia announced in a news release Friday.

Jason Farris, 45, of Arlington, was sentenced to 18 months in prison and 24 months of supervised release by U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson. He pleaded guilty on Oct. 27, 2023 to assaulting, resisting, or impeding officers.

Farris traveled from Dallas to Washington, D.C., to attend the “Stop the Steal” rally, according to court documents. After the rally, he marched with a group of protesters to the Capitol. Farris advanced to the front of a mob of rioters and confronted a group of police officers assembled in a line. He said to the officers, “I bet your family is proud of you, [expletive]. You ain’t [expletive]. Ain’t none of you [expletive],” according to court documents.

He also hit a baton held by one of the officers, documents say.

Moments later, other rioters grabbed one of the metal bicycle racks being used by police and attempted to pull it away. Several officers held onto the bicycle rack to keep it from the rioters. Farris approached an officer from behind and shoved him to the ground, according to the release. The officer fell and released the rack, allowing rioters to take it into the crowd. After the officer was helped up, someone in the crowd threw a large metal beam, hitting the officer in the head. The impact knocked the officer to the ground, causing a concussion, according to the release.

Farris “helped to create” a gap between rioters and police, allowing rioters to enter the west plaza of the Capitol, the release says.

As he traveled further into the Capitol grounds with the mob, Farris used a flagpole to hit a window of the Capitol several times in an effort to break it, according to the release.

He was arrested on Feb. 6, 2023 in Arlington.
