The WHO have a mandate and policy to advise on health related matters globally. (China of course does not need to co-operate unless it wishes to). The WHO is being criticised for being well behind the curve in awareness of the disease and in failure to proactively advise on it. As you know, I advised here on getbig well before the WHO declared this global health emergency). And indeed they still haven’t recognised it as a global pandemic despite hundreds of thousands of people infected (despite what the “reported case number” is.

Someparts - you are one of the smarter people here. What I think you need (or zero hedge) needs to clarify is that the number of “total cases” is actually “total actually tested positive cases”. Those who understood viral epidemiology will know there is a huge difference between this number and likely actually cases (possibly by as much as 1000x multiple”).
