Last Monday I found out someone I knew who was in their 50's died of COVID. For the record he was not vaccinated, and he was healthy prior to getting COVID. This makes a total of 3 people I knew who died with/from COVID. No doubt there are others that I haven't found out about yet. I know quite a lot of people, if three is all there is who died from it, that's great. I know dozens of people who have had the virus. Some got sicker than others.

If we're running with personal anecdote then here's mine:

I'm 49 & unvacced. Had what I'm guessing was Omicron 1. I was taking D, zinc, quercetin, and ivermectin. 2 days of fever and loss of appetite followed by 3 days of mild fatigue. No cough. Worse than a cold. Far milder than a flu.

Every vaccinated person I know reported a rougher experience than mine, including people half my age. None of them took D, Z, Q, or I.

BA5 surrounds me. I haven't come down with it. Neither has my gf who had my variety. She works with the elderly. Not long ago her aged care facility had a 100% infection rate. Every single person was sick and she's with them all day. (These are triple vaxed people, btw, boosted approximately 6 weeks before infection.) She still didn't catch BA5.

Uncannily similar.  I was taking C and melatonin though, no ivermectin.   2 days of headache and brutal night sweats, 2 days of very sore throat, then some fatigue, then done.  I called it a light flu.

I did also drink close to a gallon of fluids a day while sick.

No sore throat at all. You should have nipped down to the farm supply for some horse paste brah.

I have no problem with people taking boosters if that's their choice. Everyone do their thing and I'll do mine.

I'm content with how I behaved. I never called for anyone to be fired, banished, or have their civil liberties canceled. Those who did are free to examine their conscience.

I have never spread it either fuckface.   I was home helping a family member who got it, then I got it 6 days later.  In that two week span, I never left my property.

Thought about the vaccine many times, however the more we go, the more I think it was right to avoid it.

People are struggling with acceptance. But that science. It sure changed.

Being gung ho about vaccination at this point is like seeing Lee Iacocca in a Chrysler at the side of the road, and the engine is on fire. Then you run over and say "Great car! Where can I get one?"


I've thought about next time I'm in a pharmacy, I should ask the guy if I ought to get vaccinated, just to see if he goes "What, seriously?"
