Modern satellites are very small. 

Some no bigger than a loaf of bread so the commercial application of this rocket is there.

It would have to get much larger and more powerful to escape earth's gravity but that could be done.

My money would be on Musk's version for planetary travel.

Virgin Galactic is a purely a tourist gimmick.
