Title: Two Q's for DaddyWaddy..
Post by: AVBG on October 12, 2006, 08:04:03 PM
Hey DW,

1. Have you considered competing in a regular BB show? I think your potential is off the chart.

2. I know you are "anti" roids. But, have you ever considered using them, has anyone suggested or offered them to you?

if he is indeed 100% lifetime natural

then he is a genetic god at 6'6''

with bigger calves and hamstrings...and conditioning...he could be a natural pro in less then a year

I hear what your saying, sure he needs to fill out. I did state I believe he has potential. However, to-date is not yet fullfilled.

2, Ive got offerd roids probably about 5 years ago. from this big black dude at the gym. I dont care if people use them, i dont think steroids areNOT very smart at all however,...its kinda throwing in an unneeded bellcurve into your life cycle, why would i want to peak out my body with steroids and end up wasted and washed up in 5-10 years, why not bust my ass 2 times as hard in the gym and eat 2 times as much as everyone else in the gym. while i look around at the individuals in the gym, i look at there shirts, then i look at mine, my shirt is coverd in sweat from top to bottom within 15 minutes of me being at the gym, i always start out hardcore, and i stay soaked the whole time, as i look around nobody is sweating as hard as me, i work harder, i have the mindset that is the key. i was always confident i could be mr. olympia without it, i still am, mind over matter is something ive always lived by. i know that every set and every rep counts, and the 'more dense' workout you do the better (no small talk in the gym and hardly any rest between sets) . I see changes all the time, these changes add up eventually i will be a monster. i wont stop growing, because as long as i assimilate 10,000 calories per day i will slowly build into the ultimate muscle furnace

1. i will probably compete next year in a real contest i want to get my calves up to 20 inches and my hams much bigger. i always told myself when i figure out how to put on muscle effectively then i will worry about the smaller bodyparts. most of my training has focused on heart and lung power, it will always be,,but before my endurance is no where near as good as it is now because i wasnt eating enough, the more food you eat the more energy you are able to exert in a givin workout FACT

Exactly, it is completely an uneeded bell curve that skews everything.

ive dropped 40 lbs in three months....and have held on to all my muscle...even gained a half inch on my arms after adjusting a few things in my routine and added l-glutamine into my nutrition...   give me two more months and ill be about 7% bf and ill post the proof in pictures.

its nearly true. i have to do alot of intense cardio and multiple 5 minute long rest paused leg pressing sets, inorder to keep from getting too fat...im working at a MUCH higher workload and workpace with these extra calories, so if i were to diet a couple days and keep up the high workout pace that im slowly getting accumstumed to and adapting too, the fat will melt away so fast because im burning so many cals...i feel right now im putting on muscle at a faster rate than fat

I have recently started a routine similar to yours, with some good results. Its called R.O.B (Rest only briefly). www.robthoburn.com - check out his PDF ebooks, he is a friend of Mindspin's and a supplement guy from BSN.

No offense to DW, he's got great genetics and all and might do well in smaller shows but if he ever decided to compete at even a state level, it would be a serious wake up call for him, sorry, but thats just the way it is........

hes ripped but the thing is he is dellusional, he wants to look like a contest bodybuilder 24/7 , and contest bodybuilders are VERY water depleted. hes ripped hes just holding water so basically eating like that is just maintenance. also you can only workout but so hard on that little amount of calories, you can STILL kick ass and have a killer workout on small amount of calories i know i can, but when i eat like 8-10,000 calories i have the most rediculous insane intense workouts of my life on a daily basis oooooh what feelin!

1) Thanks for your kind words, but my wannabe-a-bodybuilder days are well behind me at this point.  I gave up that dream long ago.

2) I'm not 'anti' steroids, but no, they weren't for me.  Yes, advanced supplementation has been suggested, but it's not a route I'm willing to choose for myself.  I applaud those who do and as evidenced by my continued involvement around these incredible athletes, I obviously appreciate the results they achieve.

I hear what your saying, and agree.. You must have a really fast metabolism (naturally- aside from training)?

I am somewhere in the middle (although it has speeded up a bit in the last two years) with the calorie intake, as mine is naturally on the slowish side.

no my metabolism is fast only if i workout like crazy , if i were to sit around all day and do the normal heavy weight workout with no fast pace no cardio then i would get fat as hell if i ate as much as i do now.

i eat most of my food at night and eat high fat foods, a large pizza has 2500 or so calories right there, pint of haagen daaz is about 1800 calories or so, those foods are easy to eat up

Daddywaddy and I eat about the same currently.
I eat 4000 calories in one meal sometimes and a pint or two of ice cream and cookies and I am soon up to close to 10,000 myself.

The more you work and the harder, the more you expend...Especially with my gravity routine.

Daddywaddy also has an active job.  I also eat most of my calories at night.  It is crazy that Daddywaddy has picked this up as this is one of the Adonis Principles as well.

The similarities in our methods is truly amazing.

I think DW has great genetics as far as aesthetics go and it is great to hear that you will wait before you do any steroids. Guys that do them without training hard first never develope the thickness in the muscle. You can always see the lack of it in their backs.

Hey DW why havn't you considered modeling.  The guys here in NY make a fortune  just posing for a camera. All they do is party all night. Yea its not the most masculine job but you will meet hot girls and make the cash...so why not?
