Onlyme, you're actually worse than all of these guys posted.
Despite your size and muscle in your heyday, you couldn't work up the courage to compete in a bodybuilding show despite all the encouragement you received. You basically relagated yourself to a powerlifter with few accolades
Now, you're old, fat, and out of shape. Its very sad and I actually feel sorry for you.

The sad thing is, the guys who looked the most like shit on stage probably look the BEST at the gym they workout at. What do you think?

Do these people lack access to mirrors, or are they crazy? Sitting in my comfy chair, I'm in much better shape than these guys, but I also instinctively know that to step on a bb stage would be insane. ???

I think they probably go and do this to motivate themselves to get better after seeing how outclassed/how bad they look.
Its not a bad way of motivation (embarassing the shit out of yourself).

I'll tell you what this is all about. It's about guys that are just in it for a trophy (any trophy) and bragging rights that they competed in the "big show" and placed...ie" "Yeah, I did the __________ last year. I got 3rd"....bunch of BS. Once in a while these jerks will hit a show where there are the only one in a class and go home with a 1st place trophy. That is the holy grail of the competitive bbing fakers. The biggest (and saddest) irony is that while fatso may go home with 1st or 2nd in the heavyweight class, a real in-shape bodybuilder in a very competitive lighter class might place out of the top 5.

Not a whole lot of dieting went on in these pictures. You have to wonder who is telling these guys they look good enough to do a show. I know some guys like this who just do a show hoping only a few people will be in their class. Then they can say "I got third place!" without mentioning there was only three people in their class.

I have been to a few local bodybuilding shows and have only seen maybe one guy that could be put up on this topic....I cannot believe these guys are serious...I thought I would have a big ego sometimes, but I just blamed it on me being short....Wow, these guys are amazing at showcasing what bodybuilding does not represent.... :o

For once Vince I agree with you. Well no this is the second time. And I feel more sorry for me than you do believe me. But I have done allot with what I had back then so my accolades are pretty good.

Must of been on a bet. I think the promoter should of at least have some standards. On the other hand, I would say that each one has a story of a horrendous accident where the Dr. said they would never walk again. "I'll show you and do a bodybuilding contest" was a bad move.

Keith never said he was a competitive bodybuilder. He liked being big and strong. He also realized bodybuilding was a go no-where proposition for most. You practically have to sell your soul to be a pro bodybuilder. Not even mentioning the drugs and crazy diets. Why would he have wanted to do that? Why is somebody called "brave" for going on stage with no muscle or conditioning? I call that being a fool.

These guys are in here so they can say that they competed in a bodybuilding contest. Most of them look about the age for a big mid-life crisis. This is almost as bad as marathons. The average time it takes for a marathon runner to finish the race now has doubled in the past twenty years because of these fat amateurs who aren't really competing against anyone but instead do it for their inflated sense of self-purpose and ability. There is a girl where I work who thinks it is a huge deal she ran a marathon and is bursting with confidence. She was an hour slower than the winner and was beat by a 75 year old woman(she is about 32), but still considers it an accomplishment. What a joke. Just because these people feel like killing themselves doesn't mean they are entitled to kill competitive sports so they can feel better about themselves.

Pretty sure that particular guy is deformed...
If I remember correctly his internal organs are mis-shapen and he has a severe curvature of the spine... born that way. He supposedly got into bodybuilding through physical therapy.
