Strained it a few weeks ago training at a foreign gym.
Trained chest today.. and it was aching like mad halfway through the workout. Hell it fucking hurt.. shortened my workout as flyes seem to aggravate it more.
It feels fine now. My training partner recommended deep heat and a bath. He said that would draw more blood into the area for it to recover faster. Is this good advice? Why heat and not ice?
I planned to train back tommorow, but most like skip it or do a light workout.
Advice and opinion appreciated

yes id agree with heating it, take some anti-inflams and take some time off the gym, with excersises that cause problems. hopefully it heals up soon and remember to warm up nicely and stretch in between.

I just came from seeing a sports med specialist and was told i have biceps tendonitis (thought it was my shoulder cause hurts during pressing exercises). I was told to take it easy and take 600mg ibuprofen 3 times a day for 5 days (NO LONGER). I was told that it wouldnt aggrevate the injury if i trained around it (different exercises or partial ROM) and didnt feel it hurt while training. Maybe you could apply this to your situation. hope this helps.

I disagree with heat. Ice it!
