I use FF most of the time, but it doesn't work right with a few websites.

Firefox blows, it won't download certain images and won't let me login to certain sites.........and, no, not those sites >:(!

I've never had a problem doing anything with firefox. I got a plug-in called stop script which allows me to decide what websites run java on my comp. It's great. I've been using firefox on this comp for 2 years and i have ZERO spyware.
-
I just got IE 7 and I don't see any big problems as of yet,but haven't tried to figure it all out yet either.
-
I only use Firefox as well but my girlfriend can't stand using it so she still uses Explorer. There are sites that Firefox doesn't run well on but they're few and far between. It's well worth the added safety and protection.
-
ive been using the IE7 beta for at least 6 months now. i dont see any advantages over the last release, and in fact it crashes frequently and doesnt support all interfaces.
fuck you IE7

Same here, I still use Explorer!

Firefox has a different look and feel than Explorer but it really is a better and safer browser. I hope you're at least running a good firewall like ZoneAlarm and good spyware (Spybot and Ad-Aware) and anti-virus software.

Oh, you have no problem with those sites? 8)
Me neither.

Becuase i use Firefox, i've never had to use any of that. I just occassionally run AVG and it always comes out clean.
EXPLORER is junk. Always has been. Full of holes and a target for all spyware and viruses.

I suggest anyone to try out Opera. They used to charge you for using it, but now it's free.
Especially those who are having trouble with FF.
You can export all your bookmarks from FF or IE, and Opera has lots of pro's.

I do not know much about computers. This will sound really stupid. What is firefox? I assume a browser. What makes it better?
-
It supposedly is less vulnerable to spyware, viruses as well as all sorts of malicious codes.
Bill Gates has a history of releasing products full of vulnerablilities, and security flaws, ...not to mention all the spyware & viruses designed specifically for IE browsers.

I haven't found anything wrong with IE7 - I've been using the Beta version for the last few months and I sorted out the proper version at the weekend. I don't think I'll ever use Firefox - for some reason I'm a bit dubious about anything which isn't Microsoft.

LOL, that's pretty funny and ironic.

Yes, I thought it was a bit controversial writing that but nothing's 100% safe so I guess it doesn't matter what you use.

FireFox works very well for me. If having trouble downloading or viewing anything on it you might check to see if you have all the plug-ins (extensions). Or if your computer is up to date. FireFox tends to have better security and is a tad faster than most browser systems for the moment. AOL is a dishonest joke as a browser. IE 6 is out dated tech, while it took five years to develop IE 7. Probably wait a good three months before downloading it, going to be a lot of patches like everything else that Microsoft produces. Opera is solid though I still prefer FireFox. The same browser system designed for North America may not be the exact same as used in Europe (parts of), Asia, India, Middle East, etc. Not only language but culture differences.
On the non Microsoft systems, Apple and GNU/Linux edge out FireFox for security and reliability due to the fact the most high scale hackers have not zeroed in on those OS as of yet. When those crazed hackers do, expect trouble just as bad as on any other system. Apple boast about it's Safari brower but they do encounter increasing problems.
Being a bit dubious about anything not Mircosoft is the Big Lie Bill Gates has engrained in the average computer users mind. More and more business and educational concerns look to GNU/Linux and Sun, or the like, where the licensing of software and products is not so overcharged. Open source codes are very attractive to most companys. Good Luck.

agreed..firefox is way better.

If your having trouble with FireFox than go to the control panel and remove it. Shut the compute off (not restart) for a minute and re-install FireFox. Unless your using the original DOS 86 window system, you should not have any problems with the new install verson. Not letting anyone log off a site is very rare now days. Unless Mr.Intenseone is just trying to play everyone. Good Luck.

Some where, some place, MR. Intenseone heard Rush say Firefox was liberal. That's really what's going on here. ;D

Now why in the hell would I do that?? My knowledge of computers is very limited....I can turn it on, log on to the internet and post pictures (and I just learned that within the last six months) and thats about it.....anything else, I need Lori's help!

Conservatives should be all over Linux, so they don't have to further support the known "liberal" causes of Bill Gates. ;D
