Post by: rayrod on November 02, 2006, 03:56:03 PM
i thought this was interesting.  it was posted at prosource.net

Ronnie, very glad to see you're right back in action. Now that it's been a few weeks since the "O", I've got three questions for you.

1) Was your lat torn or otherwise injured this year?

2) The way you looked on stage at the "O" as they were about to announce the winner, it looked like you already knew they were going to give it to Jay. Jay and some others also mentioned that it looked like someone gave you a heads up and someone mentioned that you gave a "thumbs down" motion to someone in the crowd before the announcement. Did you know that Jay was going to win just before they announced it?

3) Are you going to take your usual three months off again this year? Are there any other possible changes you might make with your program this year?

Thanks, Ronnie, and again, I'm glad to see you are back.

No my lat was not torn or injured, just rumors there for sure. I did already know the outcome of the show when we were standing in the lineup and that's why I gave the thumbs down. No I did not win the olympia this year so I can't take 3 months off. I only did that when I won, I will take maybe 2 or 3 weeks and its balls to the wall for next years Mr. O.....

Maybe his lat just atrophied for some reason; didn't someone say something about a shoulder injury interfering with his training. I wish Ronnie would try to go into a little more detail about his lat rather than just saying its not injured.

Ronnie is full of shit. His lat, tri and right lower quad are torn. If not fully, on the way!

If you look at previous pictures of  that right lower quad you can tell that is torn also. Check out this shot from last years gp

no way... disagree with that one...

but about the lat, honestly it looked torn to me, but i guess a shooulder injury might have affected his posing       :-\ ...  might just be that he doesnt want to acknowledge having a tear????... also if u look at onlder pics of ronnies lat spread he always did have a slight imperfection, maybe the shoulder injury highlghted that???

ronnie just seems so innocent, to be so sinnister to lie about this all this time??? too diabolicle  for big ron IMO

Like Disgusted pointed out to me (us) it's not the atrophied left lat that is recently torn but the RIGHT lat! It's not noticeable in the rear poses. The left lat looks bad from the back, the right looks torn from the front. Torn for sure.

And there is a tear in the quad but it's not recent, he's had it all his pro career.

I am also certain Ronnie does not post anywhere himself. Maybe a relative but it's not Ronnie. Pretty sure about that.

Yeah everybody shits on Big Ron when they should be showing him respect. Dude is 43 years old and still hits the gym as hard as a 25 year old.

Hany Rambod believes the injury is nerve damage.  ;)

hey, I am all for Ronnie getting one more check but my god man the wheels are falling off the cart, literally

given all of the imperfections that he will bring to the next show I don't see how he can place top 5. Keep in mind that he will be one year older and not able to train at full speed.

also he doesn't seem inclined to come in at a lesser weight....it's a wrap, stick a fork in him

Could be  ::)  but who the heck knows.  Ronnie just seemed blurry as all get up at the O and the European shows.  Physique looked funky if that makes sense.

i think he has the same injury i'm about to get treated for.  i have a slap lesion in my right shoulder, which resulted in the atrophying of my left lat and and the shortening of the muscle insertion of the inner tricep.  the change in his arm looks exactly like what happened to mine.  i still don't know whether whatever treatment i get will fix the way it looks, but i'm sure if i can fix mine so can ronnie.

I don't see why everyone's putting down Ron, he got better and better with every show after the O and he should have beat Cutler on the last one (Ruhl should have beaten cuts, or even both, but that's a different story). His timing was off, hopefully he nails it next year. This isn't the first time everyone thought Coleman's finished and he's always proven the haters wrong.

Regardless of whether or not he wins O 07 (I hope he does, then retires) it's gonna be a great show with alot more hype and interest than it's been in the last 5 years.

Just my opinion.

Look at the thickness and detail in the tear drop the year before. The muscle also seems to start higher on the outer quad. I could be wrong but it sure looks it.

Ronnie had the best BB physique ever in 98. I am only calling it like I see it.

thats what i think to,i used to shoot for the USA national team and would pinch a nerve in my lat or trap at least twice a year just from practice and it looked very similar to that it would take a few weeks of acupuncture, and deep tissue message before it would go back
