I was being nice and giving GSP the win by decision. There's a new champ in town, baby!!!!!!!

I thought Matt would somehow win this fight, if only because of how lucky he was beating BJ Penn. But I have been telling the Hughes nut-huggers for some time that their boy is not invincible. Everyone gets beat if they fight top competition long enough. People were making Matt out to be inhuman, when there were chinks showing in his armor in his last few fights.
Hughes is too arrogant, so I'm quite pleased he got spanked.

That was a frickin DOMINATION!!!!! IN every aspect, GSP was superior!!!
-
GSP is a beast! Looks like the torch is finally passed.
-
Back to the farm for Matt.

Always a pleasure to see a cocky guy get his ass beat

Thank you Jesus!!!

Tim Sylvia is next.

Matt didn't do shit in that fight. What a boring PPV, at least the next one has Tito-Liddell, Jardine-Forrest, and Bisping and Arlovski are fighting people who I can not think of right now. Only good thing about tonight was seeing Stevenson get one step closer to his lightweight title fight.

Tim Sylvia is next.
You think Vera will beat him? If Tim does lose, he should try bodybuilding, he looked great ;D
-
I expect Vera to beat Sylvia.

Drew Mcfedries impressed me by choosing to stand with and ultimatley beat a world class pro boxer in Sakara, that was one hell of a fight.

Why does everyone make these comments after virtually every PPV? I thought last night was pretty good. Not every fight is going to be "over the top". There were 3 solid fights last night. I got my money's worth!

there are very few match ups in UFC that would get me overly excited. They just dont have the strength in depth for attractive marquee fights now. Pride can put on a show which doesnt have the top 3 in any of their divisions and STILL get better results than UFC could with far better fights
-
I thought it was a good PPV. Only Sylvia/Monson went past 2 rounds; the rest were KO's, TKO's and one TIGHT choke :o.
He may be big and look clumsy, but Sylvia impressed me by hanging w/ a world class grappler like Monson. Yes, the last round was boring as hell, but it was still an interesting fight.
GSP ;D dominated the fight; Dana should make some $ on the rubber match...
Mir :'(. I'm disappointed but not surprised. Vera got serious skill.
-
look for Vera and a few others to be fighting in Pride soon if Sakakibara takes an interest in them. UFC doesnt have the pulling power that Pride has, or the money to compete with them
-
Awsome fight for GSP he's my fave UFC fighter I like that slick straif kick he did.

GSP's footwork really confused Hughes.

GSP's footwork really confused Hughes.
Not to mention the way he methodically set him up for the high kick with inside low kicks.
-
he showed excellent take down defense, nice muay tai clinch and knees to make Hughes think twice about going low for the double leg. Matt headlined two payper views in a row didn't he? Might have needed a break in between BJ penn and this fight, might have left something in the gym trying to stay in shape .
