Who got what from Sat night, I know Bluto always posts it...
-
dont know what the purse was but for gsp it was:
"St. Pierre, who currently makes more from his sponsors than he does in the ring, is due a purse of US$40,000 for the fight, with another $40,000 if he wins. He is under contact for one more fight with the UFC after Saturday, with the UFC likely to up the ante for a new deal."

So should he go over to Pride and see who will give up the most $?
-
if that purse is correct he got a lousy pay, better improve it to next time
-
Going to PRIDE would be awesome for GSP. They'd probably love him over there.
-
Gsp's weight might be an issue if he were to fight for Pride. He would have to either cut an extra 10lbs to make 160, or not cut any weight and fight at 183lbs. If he could somehow make 160lbs he would be unstoppable, but at 183lbs I dont even see him being a contender let alone champ.

Yeah, I was thinking that when I posted it actually. It would be interesting to see what class he went into. I think 160 would be a stretch for him as he's pretty cut up and solid as it is at 170 but you never know. I was going off more of his personality and marketability. Plus, making 40k a fight is just stupid for someone of his caliber.
-
he's like jean claude van damme in bloodsport
-
That'd be great if he held the title during negotiations for a new contract ;D

Exactly! He's fighting Serra next right? GSP will have the belt! I would hold Dana hostage for huge money after seeing what the UFC makes off of him! $40k a fight? Gimme a fuggin break, I realize it's a contract but that's just wrong! There should be a huge win clause for more money than the person you defeated, i.e Matt gets like $400k a fight or something retarded, so GSP should get that...IMO! >:(

serra against gsp is a joke. he'll be ko'ed in first round

i think he seems to nice of a guy to do that, although he should. Dana will be kissing his butt and doing everything he can to keep him in the UFC while paying him as little as possible. his next fight will bring him only about 100,000.00 im thinking.
what if Hughes and BJ left for Pride what would UFC do? IMO GSP, Hughes and BJ are the main attraction for UFC, deffinety not the heavyweight div.

This rivalry is about the only thing they have going for themselves right now. Sylvia is a joke and I could care less about Liddell pummelling Ortiz again.

If Liddell beats Ortiz badly, who is he gonna fight next? i dont really see anyone else? i mean Dana could hype someone up but really he has done that too many times for Liddell already. i just started watching a few years ago so this is all just my opinion. If Chuck beats Oritiz he'll be a big fish in a small pond wont he? i hope Chuck hurts Tito. but ithink it will be closer than the last fight

Liddell can fight Mr. Forrest Griffin....What about Bisping? Nobody stays champ forever...Chuck will get beat some day. Maybe sooner than you think!
Also, GSP making 80K for 7 minutes of fighting ain't that shabby........

I think the UFC is grooming Rashad Evans to fight the winner of Ortiz/Liddell. Bisping is yet to make his debut, and Griffin suffered a slight setback by losing to Ortiz, and his snoozefest win against Bonnar. I actually hate Liddell and Ortiz, but something tells me Tito is going to beat Chuck, and do so by resorting to his good old fashioned Lay n Pray. I thing it's more likely we will see Babalu vs. Griffin real soon.

It is rumored that he would get a title defense in his hometown in Canada.

Yeah, then GSP said 'holy shit!? Montreal!?'

sometimes i feel like boycotting the ufc. they don't pay these guys enough to be doing what they are doing. mma is almost a buisness as shady as bbing.
