and if it is a long one, how do you utilize the time?
-
around 10 to 15 mins ;D
and since i teach i dont go all dressed up....jeans..tee..and my flipies usually..which means i wake up with just enough time to shower...throw some stuff on a rush to work!
the co workers and the owner of the school frown upon it a little but meh...they cant fire me ;D
-
10 seconds, ...15 if i stop to open the blinds. :)
-
Used to be 15 mins., which seems like paradise land to me now. :'( For the last couple of months it's been an hour each way, which sucks, but don't drive... so at least I can install myself on the train with a book or mag. Ipod is essential!!! Other times I talk to the business guy sitting next to me. Only once did I fall asleep but fortunately didn't fall over and drool on the person sitting next to me. At least I can work from home one day a week or more. There is an end in sight though so it's not the end of the world... but I don't know how people do it year after year. It takes so much time out of your life. Add training to it, and basically there isn't time for much else. :-\
On the other hand, have worked exclusively at home, and must say, I started to get a little weird.

i don't either. i read someplace that the stress of commuting is worse than the actual work itself, so I gave it up.
i used to cycle.
when I drove miles and miles in Canada I would concentrate.
I can't drive a car in London, it's impossible.
And I can't deal with public transport, that's where you catch the flu.
xL
but if I had to, I'd listen to an ipod, not make eye contact and give up my seat.

Do you have any openings? ;D lol
Takes me about 5 minutes to get to the office.

Lol, think you have to be a very special person to drive in London. And the tube is horrible. I would stay home too.

I do walk to the shops...

I heard a good joke last night about throwing the clutch out of the window. It's a car joke, but I can't tell jokes.

Why yes we do Laura. We're always looking for dynamic, talented, and entrepreneurial people. :)

I work 20 miles from where I live, and it takes me 30 to 45 minutes to get to work. On my way home, I take a slightly different route and head straight into the gym and then home. Depending upon traffic, it takes between 20 and 30 minutes to get to the gym, and then another 15 to get home after my workout.
I hate the traffic! I'm relegated to one of two ways to getting to work because of where I live, and there is soooo much traffic in North Dallas.
I listen to music, talk on the phone, text friends (yes...I know it's awful, but if I'm creeping at 10 or 20 miles an hour, then I manage to keep one on the road and one eye on my phone, and still drive in a straight line and not hit anything--knock on wood).
I always arrive to work late because of the traffic. My boss calls me "time challenged." But once I'm there, everything is done on time, and I usually have to work through lunch and stay late, so I don't see the big deal.

they've banned that in England, it's illegal.
funny, no?

and you're lucky you can get to go at 10-20 miles an hour...
It's gridlock in London.

Oh yeah, I forgot, attached to the cell... :D
I too am "time-challenged." ;D

Right now my job is at home....I thought this would be so fun, being a housewife...or domestic "diva" as I prefer to be called. ;D But now I realize that it is more difficult than my prod job prior. Atleast then, when my work is done....my day is DONE. My job never ends! The cooking, cleaning, sorting, and organizing..etc. But I don't complain, its stuff that needs to be done...and it makes the husband happy. Plus, I get to be an at home mommy for a few months. I will be back in action in a few months, hopefully working with Warner Bros or CBS studios...all within 30 miles of my home. :D

i like your little quote on the side, whatever that's called? I've managed to do that but still can't figure out how to do an avatar.
Here in England they call elevators lifts, which makes your joke even funnier.

Less then 10 minutes on a bicycle, and actually faster than a car, because of traffic. :D

hook up a little camera on top of your computer & join the ranks of on-demand porn providers. I hear they make some good green. :o

I drive an hour to and from work. I work shifts so I usually don't hit much traffic (corrections officer). I usually listen to talk radio, all the music starts to sound the same after a while, I have motivational cd's I listen sometimes, I usually call my mom when I'm in the car, no time to call at home, either spending quality time with my daughter, sleeping or cooking. The gym is only 5 minutes away.

There's only two types of businesses on the internet that are wildly profitable:
- internet pronography
- network marketing
Guess which one I do "Brilliantly (http://www.jaguarenterprises.net/brilliant.htm)"? :P
(ps - hint... I don't have a web cam) ;)

Then it has to be Network Pornography! Yes, I'm a genius. ;D
Just kidding. :)
