Impressive. How is your diet/training nowadays?
Also height/weight? (The inevitable question  :) )

Good build, no real flaws. Wish i could get a chest like that. Props.
If you lose some fat you'd look zane-esque.

Cute girls.

Thanks for all of the kind words.  The pics are from last week.  I weighed about 195 @ 5'11".  As far as critisism on my symetry, BF%, etc. it's probably all valid.  However, I'm not training for bodybuilding.  My focus has been on funtional strength and endurance.  It feels good to be under 200lbs, strong, energetic and agile.

That said, the GetBig Spring Classic is tempting...hmmmm...

Those cars in stock form  didn't make much over 200 horsepower and  ran high 15's in the quarter.A few bolt on modifications and you could probably get into the 14 second range. The 302 only has a 3" stroke so it doesn't make a lot of low end torque. I am not saying that they can not be built to make a lot of power because they can, however in stock/near stock form they are nothing special.  Still a fun car to drive for someone who just started driving. That thing probably feels like a Top Fueler to candidate. :)

Yes, the 86 5.0 was pushing 200 horsepower...not EXTREMELY fast stock....but pretty quick....

But, with all the parts for the 5.0's out there....for a couple grand candidate can make that car really move....

I prefer the 87'-93' coupes, personally...

I am a Chevrolet  fan personally...but I believe that 86 was the first year for fuel injection on the mustang.I'm not sure why Power Rod said 86 was the embarrassing year for the mustang, since the body stayed the same and they ditched the carb and added fuel injection.

Mindspin looking swole as always...one of the best builds i've seen on this site.

Good old mustangs...i've owned 7 different mustangs in the last 10 years.

My weeked warrior is a 91 Coupe with a 331, AFR heads and every EFI mod you could buy(i'm not listing all that shit), cage, TKO trans, control arms, built rear end, etc...runs high 11's on nitto drag radials, probably low 11's on slicks, never tried it on slicks. cold AC, power everything and gets 18 MPG but i just cruise around in it. people like the lope at idle...11:1 compression sounds nice!

i also have a 02 GT but it's my stock daily driver...

Owned a few chevy's and mopars...cars are cars, i'll drive anything domestic. i was a serious drag racer for years and fox bodies are the best bang for the buck. a friend stuffed a chevy 454 in a 89 GT and that bitch was insane...can't beat a 2900 pound car with a rat motor!

The  "LOPE" at idle is caused by the camshaft overlap not the compression. Sounds like a cool car.

no fucking shit....lol

the high compression makes it louder...you can tell a difference at idle between 8:1 and 11:1.

you misunderstood my post...my mistake.

what does it 60 ft?

1.68 is my best...usually low 1.7's.

not too bad for nitto's but with slicks i bet it would go 1.5's...i think but have never even put slicks on it.

best 1/4 was 11.62 at 116...

Damn...I figured it would 60 ft better than that if it runs 11's. That is not at all a slam on your car ..just surprised. My chevelle used to  60 ft 1.73 on M &H 's  and should run mid 12's.I say should because I have never ran the quarter with it but in the eighth it ran 8.04  It weighs 3700 lbs has a 406 small block chevy with Dart heads and 11.1 but has a hydraulic cam.  Turbo 400 with a 10 inch converter and a 12 bolt rearend with 4.10 gears. I built the whole car myself when I was 18 years old.I haven't messed with it in a long while. I have a Big Block Nova that takes up all my money and time.

I am guessing based on your 18 mpg the thing is geared relatively high.

3.73's but i have the SCT pro tuner package with a laptop on the passanger seat so it is tuned to perfection...i've spent about 12 hours on the dyno getting it perfect.

I love old chevys...nova's and chevelles are my favorites. i have a friend with a 468 and a 8-71 blower on top in a 72 nova. 9 second car on pump gas...

1.68 on nitto's is actually good down here. i could probably do better with drag springs and some 90/10's up front but i just cruise around in it so i have it setup for street driving(progressive springs and stock shocks/struts). i've had it 4 years and only been to the track 5-6 times. i built the engine in my garage.

I'm not exactly a geezer, I'm 37. I used to drive like an idiot when I was young, still speed sometimes, but street racing is not for me. Hell, my Corvette does not run at the  moment anyway. You could smoke me with your Reeboks.

At least you're honest.  Just remember the next time you're on the street when it's running you should try to defend the honor of vettes owners everywhere.  After all.. SOMEBODY should race for you guys.

I could see stepping on it to about 10 or 15 over the speed limit, but that's where I'd get off the gas. I don't want to risk a ticket or getting someone killed.

Good enough.  Once you prove you're faster then you've done your job.  I only race until the competition knows they're beaten.

Outstanding pics there Mindspin, looking great. I still question if there isn't a bit of synthetic testosterone running through your veins every once and a while. It really doesn't matter though, cause you are right where you should be.

As for cars, I've always loved Mustangs and been a Ford fan for years. I like old-school Chevy but think almost all of their recent line up is far from exciting. Yeah, the z06 is an excellent example of great American engineering, and is an exception to my above statement, but I wouldn’t be caught dead in a modern vette. They just scream Viagra and mid-life crisis.

I don't know anything about the car...but nothing that makes decent power will hook up worth a shit  on hard ass radial tires.(not refering to the drag radials)It is no wonder it spun....Is it a 4 speed car? It's a 1970 AAR Plymouth Barracuda. Limited too there were only 500 of them made in 1970. Very rare beast.
Of course weve got softer tires but those are just for the daily drive in the summer.

It has been years since I was involved in any street racing.Back before they had the drag radials, but when I was younger and street racing a little bit...you could not beat the M&H Racemasters for a good hook'n street tire. That was always what I ran..and in fact they are still on my Chevelle. They are bias ply,so the ride is a little rough until they are warm...especially with radial tires on the front. You DO NOT want to be caught in the rain with them. They were basically a slick with 4 narrow grooves cut into them that was considered "tread" to make them dot legal. They were very soft and had a soft sidewall. They Hook very well, and used to be only about 150 bucks each for a 275 60 15

I have never ran the drag radials, but I have always had excellent luck with M&h RACEMASTERS. My chevelle has a  11:1  406 with Dart heads,10 inch converter and 4.10 gears and it hooks quite well...BUT they are bias ply, which makes them ride a little rough until they warm up a little, especially if you have radials on the front.. and you DEFINATELY don't want to get caught in the rain with them because they are basically a slick with 4 narrow grooves that they call tread  ::). I know a guy with a Mustang that runs 5.70 's in the eighth and his car hooks like a  S.O.B  on the E.T. Streets that you are talking about.
