I have a little problem. The gyms I go to are of the same chain, very good and upmarket, but the problem is the music - same shit every day! Looks like they have only one CD which they play for years! Cant handle it anymore (heard that Paris Hilton pop crap for like 100.000 times this year!)
So I decided to hook myself up with an MP3 player. Could anyone tell me what music is good to train to? I was thinking in line of some heavy metal: Metallica, Drowning Pool, etc. But I'm also considering hard house.
Any advice? Personal prefs on training music?

Can't go wrong here. Throw in some Maiden and some Motorhead, and if you can't get fired up call an ambulance.

Try Drowning pool, Audioslave

Godsmack, Pantera, Meshuggah, Alice in Chains, Rage

Tool, best training music on earth IMO

frantic my metallica is awsome to train to...my mp3 player has stuff on it that I would never listen to outside of the gym...

Studies have shown that working out to classical music can give you the best workout. I think it keeps your mind clear and you can concentrate on your mind-muscle connection whereas heavy metal gets you pumped but you are not able to think clearly.

had a thread going on the General topics, try listening to the first two songs I picked

Hatebreed is good to get you really pissed off

That's exactly what I listen to at the gym, combination of really heavy metal and hard house..stuff like:
drowning pool, disturbed, pantera, In Flames, Arch enemy.. for the hosue I usually download club mixes of big dj's like armin van buren, bennassi, tiesto, oakenfold etc. Then I make different playlists so I can switch it up.

You never listened to Richard Wagner? That is some intense stuff.
-
canadaphiliac, I know it is... I actually dig classical, but not to work out to...I get alot of thoughts when I listen to classics so I usually listen to it while driving long way. In gym I'd like to hit the metal plain and simple and thus want to limit my thoughts as much as possible. HM and house seems like a good tool for that, LOL:)
Thanks again for all the feeds bros! Apreciate it!

Fiona Apple... Would Still Hit?
Of course, she just needs a good scrubbing, a trip to the salon, and a bit of rest to be atleast 80 - 85% of what she once was. Here she was a few weeks ago -

Win. I had an all-Overkill playlist the other day. Fucking... Horrorscope, Elimination, Birth of Tension, Rotten to the Core. My favorite thrash band!

There was actually a female member called "BuffGoddess?" Not sure why I don't remember "her", but what happened, did Halo/Bluto chase her away too?
