how many of you drink your eggs? it seems so fast and convenient. is it safe?

does it matter how many eggs you eat per day?

I was never a fan of it, I like them cooked better. If someone could show me proof of a raw egg being more nutritious, I might change my mind.

the reason i would do it is cause its so damn quick, it takes me like 10-12 minutes to cook my eggs, standing there in front of the stove amking sure they dont burn, mixing them up, ect...it would be so much better just to break them into a glass and drink it in like 10 seconds

I think the protein in eggs is absorbed better cooked? I think it's safe if you get good eggs, the chances of getting Salmonella aren't that high.
I've had raw eggs a few times, the only problem is they feel like snot running down your throat. :-\

I can understand that. If someone on this thread can convince me, I'll give it a shot. Right now, I have it made cause I get them cooked for me at work, so it's not like I have to make any effort.

Vince Gironda said that eggs were the perfect alternative to anabolic steroids. Vince was a bit of a dick, but I think he was right to some degree. I have around 5 eggs a day (yolks and all), shit I have to, I have to get protein from somewhere as I don't eat meat. I don't cook them though, I add a few to rice milk with some chocolate ice cream and blend it up and add it to my cereal, bon appetite, damn, I should write for flex. Don't believe that eggs are bad for you, it's a bunch of crap.

It only takes biotin out of the system if you're eating egg whites only. I take a biotin with my shake along with some extra digestive enzymes to break down the protein... There is virtually zero chance of getting salmonella from free range organic chicken eggs. You have a better chance getting it from a salad prepped unsafely around raw chicken than ever getting it from eggs. Even eating raw eggs from a big commercial producer the chances of getting ill is extremely low.

1/2 cup egg white
2 scope whey protein
1 banana
1.5 scoop of oatmeal
1 spoon of peanut butter
mix in blender for 2 minutes

DESCRIPTION
Biotin, a member of the B-vitamin family, is an essential nutrient in human nutrition. It is involved in the biosynthesis of fatty acids, gluconeogenesis, energy production, the metabolism of the branched-chain amino acids (L-leucine, L-isoleucine, L-valine) and the de novo synthesis of purine nucleotides. Recent research indicates that biotin plays a role in gene expression, both at the transcriptional and translational levels, and that it may also play a role in DNA replication.
Biotin is widely distributed in natural foodstuffs. However, the absolute amounts of biotin in foodstuffs is relatively low when compared with the other B vitamins. Some of the better food sources of biotin, are egg yolk, liver, kidney, pancreas, milk, soya and barley. Brewer's yeast or Saccharomyces cerevisiae (see Brewer's Yeast), which is used as a nutritional supplement, is one of the richest sources of biotin, as well as the other B vitamins. Royal jelly, also used as a nutritional supplement (see Royal Jelly), is another rich source of biotin. Mammals and many plant species are unable to synthesize biotin. Biotin is synthesized by bacteria, yeast and other fungi, algae and certain plant species. In fact, the microflora of the human large intestine appear to contribute to the biotin requirements of the body.
The first demonstration of biotin-deficiency in animals was observed in animals fed raw egg white. Rats fed egg white protein were found to develop dermatitis, hair loss and neuromuscular dysfunction. This syndrome was called egg white injury and was discovered to be caused by a glycoprotein found in egg white called avidin. It was subsequently found that egg white injury could be cured by a liver factor which was first called protective factor X and later determined to be biotin. Because biotin cured the skin disorder of egg white injury it was called vitamin H. H is for haut, the German word for skin. Avidin causes egg white injury because it binds very tightly to biotin, preventing its absorption. This is only true for native avidin, which is resistant to hydrolysis by proteolytic enzymes. When egg white is cooked, avidin is denatured and denatured avidin is digested by proteolytic enzymes.
Although clinical biotin deficiency in humans is rare, it does occur. Prolonged consumption of raw egg white, long-term total parenteral nutrition without biotin supplementation and malabsorption syndromes, such as short-gut syndrome, have resulted in biotin-deficiency states. The symptoms and signs of biotin-deficiency, include a generalized erythematous scaly skin eruption, alopecia, conjunctivitis and neurological abnormalities. The rash may be distributed around the eyes, nose, mouth, ears and perineal orifices. The facial appearance associated with the deficiency, with the rash around the eyes, nose and mouth along with an unusual distribution of facial fat, is called biotin deficiency facies. In biotin deficient infants, the neurological findings are hypotonia, lethargy and developmental delay. In adults, the neurological findings are lethargy, depression, hallucinations and paresthesias of the extremities. Marginal biotin status may occur under certain conditions, e.g., during the first trimester of pregnancy, and it is thought that this situation may be teratogenic. Functional biotin deficiency occurs in certain genetic disorders. These will be discussed below.

yes, there is biotin in the egg yolks so you don't have to worry. If you're eating the egg whites mostly, sup with biotin for one of your drinks. It's cheap.

I've only heard that the bioavailability is reduced, not completely nullified and I think if you're taking a digestive sup with papain, papaya and protease this isn't true? Many take extra digestive aids anyway so I don't see why this is a problem... ???

There is more to it than simply "carrying it"...it's a frozen product which means they have to have the facilities and the space to stock it....were simply better off drop-shipping it from our warehouse, as we do with BB.com.

It's a better deal all the way around...your paying for the conveinience, usability with us...your paying retail for half the eggs, carton and inconvieniece at the store.
The other advantage, is that with my product, you can DRINK them as well as cook them...BIG DIFFERENCE.
This is what attracted me to the company in th first place...I was buying eggs at Sam's club by the mini flat...and then cracking and seperating 26 of thm every morning...what a pain in the ass...
After a while you get sick of eating egg whites...what a difference being able to mix them up with some chocolate protein powder and simply drink a shake...

Protein powders are OUT. I just use them to make the EGI have a little flavor. Otherwise it taste a little like skim milk.

I drink my eggs raw everymorning. I don't have anymore eggwhites so I will up my whole egg intake from 3 to 6. Eggwhites international is too expensive and they do not diliver to canada. Maybe once chic man's up and decides to visit canada he could tied the bucket around his neck and bring me a free sample. Until then eggs raw are the real shit!

Tough to deliver food products to other countries with all the FDA laws....also, problem would be in shipping costs as the product has to be shipped frozen.

You can, but you need the yolks to hold together...wouldn't work nearly as well. What you can do is merely cut down on the amount of yolks.

Oh yea and Bob you are only 50% right about if you consume raw eggs you will be Biotin deficient. Its only if your consuming raw egg WHITES will u develop a biotin deficency, but if you consume the whole egg, both yolk and white, your just fine, as yolk is one of the most abundant sources of biotin known to man!
But with all this said, I'm going to order a gallon of your egg whites :)

There is a company who sell liquid egg whites in the UK called MyProtein, their liquid egg whites don't need to be frozen in transit, and last about 6 months when unopened. They come in kilo packs, think it is about £3.75 for a kilo, which is 30 egg whites. Cost less when you buy in bulk. Only problem is they only last a few days when you open them, so you have to use them quick or freeze the stuff you won't get through.
They taste ok, but aren't great for cooking with. Worth having a look into if you really want liquid egg whites.

Benny Podda did a thesis on the egg. He knew everything you could knwo about them. I was told that the best most nutritional way to eat an egg is poached and covered as you lose nutrition if cooked uncovered. They also have to be stored out of the light. I think thats how I remember

you got walmart in goodole usa and you also got windixie,,,both have papetti food eggwhites,,,comes in liquid,,,very easy to drink and if you cook your eggs on a regular basis youre a moron.
1 carton of about 15 eggwhites in your local walmart will be somewhere around 2$,,you get it and you drink it,,its safe
make sure you drink 2-3 small cartons a day
in 2007 you have zero need to cook your eggwhites,,,maybe in 1992 you did but now days,,it is 100% safe and i drink every day up to 6 small carton box of eggwhites,,nothing is wasted through cooking process or stick to pan,,,all go to the tummy.
