Many of you probably know that Jay was featured in an issue of FHM in 2005 (the one with Anna Nicole Smith on the cover) and then one more time after that around the Holidays but what you did not know is that Jay was offered a monthly column in FHM soon after winning the Olympia on how to stay fit and sort of a Q & A with FHM's readers. Unfortunately, soon after Jay completed the interviews for his first few columns, FHM announced that they were closing shop. So the deal never materialized.
Nevertheless this was a huge step in the right direction for Jay and bodybuilding as a whole to be known in the world outside bodybuilding. There is still hope as the column could possible be picked up by other men magazine similar to FHM.
This is only one of the avenue that Jay is exploring as many things are in motions right now including meetings with PR firms, appearances on daytime and nightime shows, Ipod downloadable workouts, possible special appearances to mainstream event on tv, etc, etc...
Everything seem to take a long time to take off but Jay has been the Champ only 4 months and it takes a while for anything of this magnitude to take off but believe me, when it will, Jay will be everywhere at the same time and that's actually a lot better that way
I'm telling you, before too long, you'll see everything that Cutler does to benefit bodybuilding as a sport.
Max.

Why don`t you tell him to go do some commercial readings for CraftsMan tools or something.
-
Ok, why?
-
Ok - guys - if you ever met Jay - then you will know that he is a professional - always talks to everyone, always cool, and cares about the sport a lot. A great spokesperson at the moment for the sport, and the fact that a mainstream magazine wanted Jay Cutler with a column is great. The more the industry and the people work together in making in larger, the better for the fans.
As for Dave, I think it is great that he gives the fans tidbits on what is going on out there - if more people would do that, we could all learn a little more.
So get your asses in gear, and come to the Ironman or Arnold, and just have fun!
As for Jay Cutler, he will be at Power Nutrition Depot in Santa Ana this Saturday, (that is in Southern California, Orange County) for a demo!
-
Txs Ron, you gonna be there?
-
I can see why they closed up shop after asking pro bodybuilders to write for their mainstream mag...No offense to Jay or anyone else for that matter...
-
I think it's good that Jay does the most with the time he's got left before MARTINEZ takes over! ;)

Ron, I am beginning to believe that you are a racist! How can Arvilla gets stars and not Vince G? Like Arvilla he has stepped on stage and thus earned those stars irrespective of his appearance
do the right thing Ron

Others have tried it before and failed. Arnold tried it. I wish jay good luck

If he cared for the sport he would drop Muscletech. Period. How can representing a company selling snakeoil to newbies be good for the sport longterm?
If he wanted to drive the sport mainstream, he would tell people that they don't need to be confused by all that garbage that doesn't work (but he never will).
