UFC has done some good recruiting lately, while Pride signs old washed up UFC fighters that passed their prime, UFC does the exact opposite. So the question is, who will UFC bring over next?
Wanderlei talked about wanting to fight in the UFC before, I can see that happening, or maybe he would choose to stay, either way he doesn't risk getting KO'ed by CroCop anymore!
Maybe Minotauro is getting tired of fighting Fedor all the time? Or will he give it a 4th shot?
Maybe Arona will follow Rampage and try to get revenge for his loss in 2004? But I'm not sure this guy is exciting enough for the american audience, I'm not sure UFC wants him given he's got 8 outta 13 wins by decision...
Hmm.

If Crocop likes it in the US it's not a wild guess that he brings over Fabricio Werdum.
-
Obviously Fedor, but Im not so sure that's going to happen.
-
They should pick up fedor's brother... that would add some depth to the HW division....
-
Maybe Sergei Kharitonov, I like the idea of Aleksander coming over as well. I think they should bring over a lightweight to spice things up a bit in that neck of the woods, someone like Luiz Azeredo, or Tatsuya Kawajiri.
-
So good recruiting? They picked up CroCop. And all signs point to him wanting to go back to Pride already. Monster accomplishments. ::)
Sergei or Aleks would be nice pickups though.

Except one thing - his paycheck

Or the fact he said he wants to do 6 fights this year and fight Fedor on NYE. I can keep going but I think that's proof enough.
-
As long as the pay is there, he's going nowhere. Nothing else matters.
-
hahahaha, so you're telling CroCop he's lying to himself now? Geez, and here I was thinking you weren't completely retarded.
The guy came out to the Pride music.
-
all i know is that the money decides where he's gonna fight. just as the money brought beckham to the us. simple as that.
-
Not really. I expect he'll be back in Pride as soon as his contract ends to take one more whack at Fedor and then he could retire.
-
so you expect him to fight pretty much all his remaining fights in the ufc. nice. good job getting him.
-
6 fights. Great pickup. Considering CroCop is one of the most active MMA fighters around, he'll be there maybe a year and a few months. But I expect Dana "Good to be White" White to try as hard as he can to keep him from fighting every month. He could probably fight on the next card if he wanted to. He took what? 2 punches from Sanchez?
-
yeah it's great that crocop fights in ufc
-
It is great, actually. I'm a CC wherever he fights.
-
yes crocop is very nice fighter
high five
-
Meant to say CC fan. :o
-
coca-cola?
-
Although Dan Henderson is getting along in years, his style would be popular with the American crowd.
-
jesus the fight discussion can be shit on this board sometimes
-
;D
-
He just signed a 2 year with deal. In an interview he said UFC is nothing more than a curiousity for him and he goes where the competition is.
-
I'd love to see Gomi, Shinya Aoki, Hendo, Kang, Shogun, Aleks, Sergei. Fedor isn't going anywhere.

Aoki and Melendez are being groomed for a possible title shot at Gomi, plus there is a lightweight grand prix coming up so all the good Pride Lw's will be pre occupied with that.

Last night we had two national champion judokas show up and guest instruct. We were only playing "top game" so no pulling guard, no sub attempts. The smaller of the two, Shintaro san weighs 135, and I was thrown six times in one minute. He won the 2004 US open, and is a three time Japanese champion. I felt like I did with Shinya, totally helpless, even though I outweighed him by 65 lbs.
