Just spoke to Paul and he tells me he has made several calls to ...MD- STEVE BLECHMAN HIMSELF,FLEX MAGAZINE......and not one has returned his calls.Here is Paul trying to better our sport and these so called magazine can't even take his call to see what he is doing with his new organization to help our sport for the better...GOOD GOING FLEX AND MD......Just shows us where your loyalties are...the only thing your magazines support are the IFBB......you should suppout the Sport not the federation....or if you do support the fedration...support them all.....After all it is the fans and the athletes who buy your mags.....

I think Gregg's columb is the only one that isn't censored.....but im not sure cuz they did sensor Lee's which sucked...but i don't think MuscleMag will be doing that to him/Us.

they gotta make their money too ;) i agree, lots of ads are no fun, but MuscleMag is by far way better than any others out right now, and Lee will be featured monthly starting in issue 300 I think...

I agree, the supp companies/sponsors/mags should do what they want. If IFBB is telling them what do to, they should say "screw you" and sponsor/cover another organisation. That will hopefully teach the IFBB something.

It truly amazes me how poorly the athletes are treated. Not only do they not receive descent funds for competing (unless Jay or Ronnie), the supplement companies along with certain mags as was mentioned screw them big time.
Already stated a thousand times, but have ya looked at the money other athletes are payed sponsorship-wise and salary-wise.
There obviously needs to be a union type situation in regards to the professional bodybulders. Unfortunately this will not happen. As Lee mentioned the athletes are afraid, and most do not want to lose what they currently have. Why should I give up mine for him??
No wonder the majority (not Lee) sell dope-roids to get by at first and beyond. Then there is the gay scene involved. Also, does anyone really think a guy such as Vicor Martinez, or anyone else that has been in jail stands a chance at being the next Mr. O?
Not by a longshot, and as is always mentioned there is-are politics involved in choosing a Mr. O. Not to hate on Victor, very nice guy from what I hear, and an amazing physique. Just being honest here folks! Dennis James is another awesome bodybuilder that is not going to ever be in Jay's shoes. Again, it is about money, and trying to commercialize the sport if possible.
Question from Jay Leno (as an example) after winning the big dance to Mr Martinez. Understand you were in jail for possibly distributing steroids?
Dorian was a juvie back in the day, but that is nothing compared to going to the pen as an adult for selling dope.

Iīve read a million articles written by Weiders, where they bitch and moan about "back in the day, athletes did this for the glory and honor." Not for the money. Fuck, if you are a professional athlete (in any sport) you should make a living of it! I donīt think pro basketball or hockey players bounce for a living or sell gear. No other athletes take risks like bodybuilders do and get NOTHING in return! I sure hope that PDI will kick ass and give some competition to these so called IFBB "competitions" where the best guy doesnīt even win. I bet that when the first athlete told those dicks to pay up, they choked on their crap.

BTW Lee, I remember when I was 16, I first went into a gym, and there was this poster of you by the door... I would keep coming up to it and looking at it on my way out. In hindsight, I think I used to look at that poster the same way Catholics look at icons of Mary. You were an inspiration to me and many many kids, I'm glad you are fighting for this sport and its athletes today!

Yes, bodybuilders don't aren't treated right while they're in the sport. You also forgot to mention that they have it even worse once they're retired. Every other sport honors its legends, its former champs, except ours, they just sink into obscurity, sometimes also poverty and health problems... It's sad...

haha! hmmm obviously PDI so i can beat Lee! ;D Once i do that i'll drag race em, beat him and then i can die happy ;D im kidding, but i can tell you i wouldn't compete in the IFBB with how they are "running" it right now. like Lee said "the guy ranked 200th in golf makes 200 000.00 a year" if thats not the biggest slap to the IFBB's face ass, i don't know what is.

This may come as a surprise. But, golf has a bigger audience than bodybuilding does. Therefore, golfers make more money than bodybuilders. Just because bodybuilding fans think that building 20" arms is more impressive than hitting a white ball several hundred yards into a small hole doesn't mean the rest of John Q. Public does.
Plus, it ain't like the lowest guy on the PDI totem pole is pulling a six-figure salary (unless, he already has a sweet supplement company endorsement).
