Well, he had to lose sooner or later, but he was beaten by four seasoned veterans tonight.
Additionally, he beat a lot of guys with big names and great records.
Congrats to the gift on being the story of the year. With another few months to fix his holes and see what he needs to work on for peaking, he should be able to break the top 6 at the O this year easily.

Very well said.

No, he was beat by two, maybe three guys tonight and screwed with regard to the 4th.
-
I wonder how heartbroken Lift is right now.

Yeah, who were those assholes who booed when the "Freakin' Rican" got gifted with 4th place?
They need a serious head-out-of-ass-ectomy.

The five that placed ahead of him today along with Ronnie and Jay will place ahead of him at the "O".

Who other than Ronnie, Jay, and the guys who beat him tonight (except Baddel) would you place ahead of him?
I see him in 6th at the O right now.

Only 4 placed ahead of him tonight, and one of the 4 was a HUGE gift.

My bad, I meant four, along with Ronnie and Jay. Even if Dex doesn't compete, I bet someone else slips ahead of him.
Phil=overrated

If Ruhl can somehow put himself back together again, no doubt he could beat him as well.

But, I wish him the best. Good luck.

How? He had a gut that he NEVER sucked in, his arms looked pretty poor, his chest was undersized and his legs weren't big enough for his upper body. He had the beginnings of Palumboism.

Do you think he will? Would it be worth hid while? I will ask the q on the PBW thread.. but gimme your thoughts on this subject.. BTW has Isaac been around?

Issac was busy last night at the UFC fight covering it. Today I think he is back the expo for one last round of photos and interviews.

I am pretty sure he'll take the year off.
he could be cleaning up at every scrub show, piling up cash. The chink is now there in his perfect record, so he might say the hell with the "legendary undefeated" status and chalk up wins and loot.
On the other hand, it might be all about "let's fix these holes and see how good we can do a the O.
Personally, I think he should compete everywhere now, just like Flex and Levrone before him, and do 6 or 7 shows a year. He's young and can recover. The marketability as the Showdown Guy is gone now, but he's a huge draw and should take that avenue now. IMO heath can do a lot to get his face all over the Spring and Summer publications by kicking ass in Australia, NY Pro, Colorado, etc.

I agree with you, I think it would be a mistake for Phil to hold out for the big shows ala Shawn Ray did. I would immediately seek to defend the Colo pro crown and NY crown then enter the O.
