No, that's what happens when a 300 pound fat guy, that can dunk can do the backboard and structural supports.

But Grant Hill dunking a nd bring the entire backboard down in front of Fidel Castro in Cuba during the America Games was off the meter.

Some of my favorites:

The Dr. J. dunk (I forget what it's called)

About 10 or 15 by Kobe, including posterizing Steve Nash last year in the playoffs

John Starks dunking on Jordan with his left hand in the playoffs

A bunch of Tom Chambers dunks

i think my favorite is this one that dr.J did, i dont have a link but it was glorious.

but my favorite dunk of all time was robert horry's desperate reaching dunk on top of the detroit pistons in game 5 of the 05 NBA finals when the aging role player single handedly won the game for the spurs, thus turning the tide of the whole series in our favor. everyone just remembers his game winning 3 but he actually did basically everything the whole 4th quarter and OT in order to keep us in the game.

Shaq was a rookie. He sure as hell wasn't fat. Don't ever try to compare the strength of Grant Hill with Shaq man.

haha, grant hill is made of glass, hes  been injured for 80% of his 'career', all he does is play the first 20 games of the regular season then breaks his ankle and proceeds to sit out the rest of the season and collect his millions for just being grant hill, why this guy is still highly regarded is completely beyond me.

Shaq was CLEARLY TRYING TO BRING THE BASKET DOWN by holding on...LAME - he was just imitating the original, Chocolate Thunder AKA Darryl Dawkins..!

The master was of course Dr. J..Clyde Drexler was completely overlooked & under-rated.

Shaq has always been fat...Less as a rookie and when he was at LSU---he has never been cut (a la Motumbo).

I agree that Grant doesn't have the strength that Shaq does. But Grant's Dunk when Duke won the NCAA's  (it was on the cover of Sports Illustrated) he could certainly get up there.
haha, grant hill is made of glass, hes  been injured for 80% of his 'career', all he does is play the first 20 games of the regular season then breaks his ankle and proceeds to sit out the rest of the season and collect his millions for just being grant hill, why this guy is still highly regarded is completely beyond me.

Quite true, kinda  of a disappointment I was waiting for him, Bobby Hurley, and Jason Williams from Duke to blow up...Something must be up with the Blue Devil Karma. Because all the players that were outstanding on Duke's teams either get seriously injured right before going into the NBA, or in Grant's case after they enter in the NBA.

The guy is highly regarded because 1.) He is from Duke, and smart as hell  2.) he is no trouble-maker 3.) Grant does alot for the Balt-Wash community and the community around him. I saw him at my Alma mater, Morgan State, he and his wife had an exhibit at the Fine Arts building a couple of years ago. I was great.

Shaq was CLEARLY TRYING TO BRING THE BASKET DOWN by holding on...LAME - he was just imitating the original, Chocolate Thunder AKA Darryl Dawkins..!

Because Shaq isn't sub 10% bodyfat he has always been fat? Thats fucking absurd. He was trying to bring the backboard down by hanging onto it? Ever even see the dunk in question? I doubt it. If you did buy a new pair of glasses.

Shaq was bringing so many backboards down that the NBA was going to fine him. He promptly stopped. Meaning he stopped slamming his entire weight down and holding onto the rim.

As for his bodyfat. Shaq has not realy been trying to bring it down. Just like Shaq has not really been trying to improve his free throws. Don't get me wrong, I think Shaq is a awesome dominate player. He basically created plays for Penny Hardaway and Kobe, with Shaq, those two are hurting.

Nash dived down on first contact trying to get a charge.
So basically, when he's on the floor it's not that hard to dunk over somebody.
Obviously i was exaggerating though, i thought that was pretty clear.

Nash is not known as a great defender, and definately not as a shot-blocker.
That's why i don't think it's one of the best dunks ever, still a good dunk nonetheless.

This gives me goosebumps. Sick dunks and blocks

This knucklehead doesn't get that the whole thing with Shaq was done on purpose, to get attention. Pathetic but it fools the clueless, like this one.

I would suggest learning more about sports but that would take more perceptiveness and intelligence than i've ever seen with this idiot. He's clearly in luv with Shaq.

It's no coincidence that hotdogs like Kobe & Shaq pull this crap, because it appeals to fans who don't know any better and don't see the contrived drama involved. Nash is a serious player who doesn't waste time with this garbage; the fact that Kobe could pull this is off is no more impressive than Shaq's deliberate attempts to copy Daryl Dawkins.

I disagree.  Kobe has repeatedly made big plays like this to help turn momemtum in his team's favor and/or to kill the opposing team's spirit.  As LeBron said last year, Kobe is "a killer."

He probably doesn't break 6'1". The guys in the NBA are measured in their shoes. Patrick Ewing listed at 7' and was only 6'9" as an example.

It was one of those Barry brothers.  I think it was Brent.  He was wearing a shirt that said "White Men Can Jump" (or something like that), but was afraid to show it, so he kept a jacket on during the competition.  Did a Jordanesque dunk from the free throw line.

He did it when Hakeem was his most dominant during the Houston championship years.
