It sounds like you are saying that it is entirely genetic here.

biological is not the same as genetic.  it's probably both.   biological includes hormones in the womb provided by the mother.    but there must be other factors as well.

also sexual orientation is not a yes/no type of thing, but a spectrum.  those on the ends of the spectrum would find it difficult to act oposite their orientation.  those in the middle in the spectrum have a little more freedom.

identical twins are often the same orientation, but not always.

It's a very interesting topic and I'm open minded about it.  It sounds like you are saying that it is entirely genetic here.  That is interesting.  There are some things I know and some things I do not know.  What I do know is that one way or another, homosexual people do not have a choice for feeling as they do.  Whether that is due to genetics or environment is something that I do not know.
Seriously, I was a psych major, and we actually did an experiment on this(based on empiricle data) and it is something that can be determined at birth through digit ratio(index to ring finger), but not all major differences in finger digit ratios equalled queers, but most queers had the digit ratio that lead the condutor of the experiment(my class) to believe that the higher the difference in digit ratio in between the two fingers lead to queerness(maybe like all squares are rectangles, but not all rectangles are squares).  So just because you have a higher ratio in the difference between ring and index finger, doesnt mean you are queer, but for the most part, the difference in digit ratio lead to a muther fvcker being queer more times than the ratio being closer to even.  But, the difference in digit ratio was due to an exposure to estrogen to the fetus prior to birth.  So, what I am saying is, that people being gay is something that is an inate trait, but can be brought out by outside forces(much like alcoholism).  I dunno if that is clear, but anyone with questions, feel free to post, and i will try to answer.  LAter.

Intenseone, since I moved to SD county in SoCal, I now understand why people are conservative; You establish a nice community, built by families who work hard and want their environment to prosper and conform to some extent to their community; nothing wrong with that, I actually admire it and try to bring as much as I can.

Typical socialist greed.  Both conservatives and liberals make idiotic points though.  It is possible to lean intelligently to the right and to the left depending on the issue though.  There are usually shades of grey that only moderates see.

Matt C, I'm not an expert but if you lean on both sides at the same time, you might split in half.

In males, the longer your ring finger is in relation to your index finger, the higher your testosterone levels probably are. Also out of a group of random people who are selected to race each other over the 100m sprint, the person most likely to win will probably have the longest ring finger in relation to their index finger. The above more than likely applies to women as well.

There have been studies done on this.

liberals want social and economic justice for all.  they want a level playing field.  you can be as successful as you want, but it is naive to think that some people don't have it easier than others because of where or to whom they were born.

you're also naive if you don't realize that people with power do things to hold on to that power, and that their actions sometimes really screw over those with no power.

not in peer reviewed respected scientific journals.  just as with global warming, legitimate scientists are in agreement.  there is no correlation between your environment and your sexual orientation.  Note that sexual orientation (how you feel) is not the same as sexual behavior (whether you act on those feelings).    No correlation with the relationship you had with your mother, father, social class, economic class, religious upbringing, culture, etc.

Agree.

Milos definitely had great talent, but in comparison to the most symmetrical guy of all time, arguably...

He can't compare - Bob Paris is IMO the better bodybuilder, and easily so.

Personally, I rank Bob Paris among the top ten physiques all time, perhaps even top 5-6.

Spelling is arbitrary at this point in the night, the fact is, that I ran the experiment, and it was published in the journal.  And thats what we were trying to decide, the correlation between women/men and digit ratio and how it affects things such as direction, aggression etc.  We found that there was a significant correlation(through statistical data), but it was like saying, what came first, the chicken or the egg?  I guess we will never know, which is the beauty of my undergrad degree(psych), you can never really prove anything, except behaviorism.

You found a correlations, good.

Some questions:

What's the chance that there are confounders moderating both finger length and test and other variables?
You said foetal exposure to estrogen is a factor, I don't think your research could have concluded that.
As a matter of fact, it's a largely untested hypothesis, It's quite hard to check for foetal hormonal exposure.

Nature vs nurture in the 'gay'debate. In conservative societes there much more latent homosexualism, the invorenment is unfriendly or even hostile towards gays, so many will think twice about coming out of the closet.

There's a large genetic factor as is shown by homozygote twin studies. And there's been many examples of homosexual behaviour in the animal world, especially among the higher developed creatures.

got to go to work now, I'll chime in again later.

true, very conservative people in life often have hidden sex lives the contradict their everday persona. It comes from the pain of wearing a contirived and controled mask everyday. You see this with conservatives, very powerfull people, and very religious people.

I know a few hustlers here in NY and their clientel are usually people who are very controlled and conservative in their daily lives.

Milos was a great bodybuilder, one of the best, but please, it's not even remotely close. Bob Paris had damn near PERFECT proportion and symmetry as well as aesthetically pleasing lines/shape to his muscles. Milos' arms were too small/thin, his delts too small, his obliques too big, his calves not big enough and his physique didn't have the same flow to it.

VERY GOOD:

when you make specific claims like that, you better have references to back them up.

http://www.avp.org/publications/reports/2005nycdvrpt.pdf

In 2004, there were 486 new cases for 607 new victims/survivors of same sex domestic violence in New York.

http://www.opdv.state.ny.us/about_dv/dataweb2003.html

In 1999, the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services received 55,558 police reports of family offenses involving adult intimate [opposite sex] partners

http://www.sanctuaryforfamilies.org/index6.htm

In fiscal year 2000, the NYC Domestic Violence Hotline received more than 99,000 [opposite sex] calls, averaging over 8,000 calls a month.

from the same link

The National Coalition of Anti-Violence Programs (NCAVP) documented 2,574 reported cases of lesbian, gay, transgender and bisexual domestic violence during 1998. Research attempts to gauge the actual prevalence of violence in LGTB relationships have generally found rates roughly equal to those estimated in heterosexual couples

Bob was an incredible poser, but this comment makes it sound like Milos was not good at all and I don't think that is the case.  Very few pros compare to Bob in terms of posing but Milos was a good poser as well.  Also, Bob's arms were strong for his day, but in this era I don't think they would be considered strong.  Take Chick who is the same height as Bob but has much bigger arms - that is the arms size required to compete at 6'0 today.

I think Bob and Milos do get a lot of credit for aesthetics and beauty of the physique due to their looks though.  Take Troy Alves and Sonny Schmidt for instance - I would say both compare quite favourably (physique wise) with Bob and Milos, yet they do not get talked about as much in this respect.

Here is one of the posing routines..

Fantastic physique and presentation!

Paris was Zane of his day, Milos was Zane of his day. IMO Zane had flawless (apparently attainable) physique with great conditioning and presentation.
Sure, you're always gonna find things like Zane back thickness, Paris forearms, Milos biceps. But whole packages were great.
