He's right:
"A House committee on Thursday approved the spending bill. It includes a troop withdrawal deadline of Sept. 1, 2008. It also requires that troops receive proper training, equipment and rest, although Bush is permitted to waive those provisions."

maybe micromanagement is better than no management or delusional management

We're on the 7th war initiative now in Iraq.
each one has lacked one thing - oddly enough - clearly defined goals, timelines, or standards.
You see, it's easy to not fail when you don't set any goals at all ;)
Micromgmt, by its very definition, creates a series of manageable goals. This creates accountability. And we haven't had that at all in Iraq yet.

Let's not forget - "micromanage" is a Republican talking point just like "slow bleed" "cut and run" "stay the course" etc.....
I don't think the Dems are doing things like planning troop movements, picking targets, etc...
They're mostly just trying to set some milestones to move this catastrofuck toward some kind of end game.

bottom line is that the bush plans haven't had clearly defined goals or objectives. Period. They don't deny that they don't quantify it. IE: Take these 8 areas, lower this to X amount of Y, etc. And as a result, there is no end in sight, ever. Just the way they like it, if you believe the white house is actually working for the military industrial complex/haliburton. ;)

Unless of course his plan was to create total chaos and bankrupt the US
