"I would immediately close Guantanamo Bay, move all the prisoners to Fort Leavenworth (an army base in Kansas) and truly expedite the judicial proceedings in their cases," he said.

Sounds like a good idea.  I think it would actually help to publicly air the charges against these people (unless it would compromise national security).  Including guys like Jose Padilla.  If these other detainees have ties to Al Qaeda (like Padilla), it could shut some of these ACLU-types up. . . . Or not.

it's a great idea.  Nothing should be hidden in our US system of justice.  Padilla is accused of a dirty bomb plot in 2001.  I seriously doubt his case (trained in a now-defunct al Q camp then tried to buy material) would compromise ongoing investigations.

This KSM trial is a perfect example.  He confesses to 31 crimes, many unfeasiable and unrealistic.  his entire trial was secret, all transcripts were translated and censored.  Plus, he claims he was tortured into confessing, and the CIA confirmed to ABC news that yes, KSM was tortured.  (Hell, they even admited the fact it took him over 2 minutes to crack, when most detainees crack after 10 seconds of waterboarding).

This secret, shady shit takes away credibility from our govt.

Why do you have a right to know all the secret info obtained from KSM?
