I have spoken to three more IFBB athletes who have decided to compete in the NOC this year. Seems that unhappiness is starting to emerge and athletes are no longer scared to voice their resolve. Interesting as well, with the Mr. Olympia up for sale and possibly not happening, I have been getting phone calls left and right.....more to come.
I guess the PDI is here to stay. And to think, I was the first.......

Well, I did not say it would be gone forever.....But the way it is going, it continues to lose money, along with AMI.....I am in the Finance world Issac, and if you know anything about AMI trouble, you know that the bondholders are calling in the debt....DO you know what that means??????? It's the same as forclosure....Money has to come from somewhere, and if it does not, they close the doors.....Now tell me Issac, Is that Rhetoric??????

It's a losing proposition now. shows are promoted to make money, asses in seats. Check attendance in the last 6 years or so.....down to 1800. Was like 3600.

There were 7,000 people at the Olympia this past year...the most to date. The Olympia will be on this year, as it was last year, and the last 40 years...and next year, etc....
As for guys "defecting" to the PDI....great. I wish them al the best. I'll also believe it when I see it. Talk is cheap, as we've all been witness to from Mr. Priest.....

Rhino, if athletes can flit between organisations then what is the point? The 'big guns' of the ifbb would simply scoop up the cash then go back to the Arnold and Olympia. Surely its better to keep them seperate and build up the PDI?

it's good to have competition but it's bad that the other federation is run by wayne demilia. Everything I've read says that he treated the bodybuilders like crap when he was in the ifbb. And all those years he ran it, they were getting screwed. So what makes them think he'll be diff. this time around?

With ANYTHING in the IFBB, or PDI- well Bodybuilding in general, you should only believe it when you in fact see it.
Everything in BBing is rumors. From the PDI being rumored to launch a year earlier than it did (Valentina Chepiga holding her PDI card around her neck comes to mind), the rumor of Titus committing murder before it was ever announced on the news or in papers, or the always popular "such and such pro" has dropped dead due to [insert ailment here].
Until I actually see a report on the three IFBB'ers going to the PDI, I won't believe it. I think Jack is a man of his word, but this has more to do with rumors being the main way of getting "media attention" in the BBing world. :-\

Come on enigma. The problem with last year's masters was NOT that Chick got a gift, it was that Rusty didn't get a fair shake. Chick def. deserved to be in the top 3 witht hat physique and I think was a worthy winner but we'll never know if Rusty could've beaten him because they weren't compared. THAT was the problem.

There were many instances of Wayne being anything but "on the athletes side"...he fined and suspended pro's on a regular basis (ask Lee about that)...and didn't believe that Athletes deserved to be paid for making it to the Olympia. He denied entry to Andrulla Blanchette, the reighning champ...AT the Olympia on a technicality of paperwork....
Amazing how his stance, and perspective changed, when he found himself out of a job....

According to the Jon Hotton book Muscle, once Chick tried to join in a meeting and Demilia sneered at him and basically told him to fuck off. Maybe that explains his hatred of the PDI.

I just think its a tragedy that pro bodybuilders compete for peanuts, literally in the case of the PDI. Mr Olympia should be a household name, or at the very least recognisable when he walks down the street [and not because he bounces at the local strip joint]

You fail to stand up for the athletes when it counted by missing the union meeting. You have change to PDI and to the IFBB several times on the last week. The Olympia is not for sale. There was at least 7000 people in the audience without question. The IFBB can afford to lose a few athletes. Not an issue.

You have talked all these years about the problems with the IFBB and your concern for the athletes. The Fact is the you have never done anything to improve the finacial life of other athletes. You fail to stand up for the athletes when it counted by missing the union meeting. You have change to PDI and to the IFBB several times on the last week. If the IFBB is so bad WHY you wanted to come back???? Please Lee, Stop make a fool of yourself and use some reason on your arguments. Wait a minute....Lee you are saying these 3 guys wont take the BS of the IFBB anymore, so they are jumping over to the the PDI....but for now, they need to keep their mouth shut so they don't get screwed in shows they do before the NOC?
If they don't like the IFBB....just do the NOC, AND don't worry about doing ANY IFBB shows if they feel like they don't get a fair placing, or what ever their reasons are.
