Wasn't he a Canadian living in Vegas? He owned a security/bodyguard firm. Competed as a heavyweight back in the late 1980's I think.

I haven't talked to him since 1987 and he called me yesterday.  He was surfing the net and found my website.  He is doing very good.  Been living in Salt Lake City for about 15 years.  Owned a chain of Vitamin Stores he started called Custom Fit or something like that.  We met at the Boxing Hall of Fame dinner where he was a bodyguard.

And Vinnie I hope that isn't the only thing we can agree on.

D'Marko Blewett - he competed & won the overall several years back in Salt Lake City, probably around 2001-2002. He was thinking of competing in the USA's after, but never did. Would be great to see compete again in the Masters. Looked astounding back in 1988-1990 when he was competing regularly. I believe he owns a supplement store, and also has been in a few films playing a bodyguard or bad dude.

D'Marko was one of the greats who didn't turn pro.

"Blewett" sounds like a gay name ....

Is it pronounced "Blew-it"?

I saw D'Marko tonight as a matter of fact, at Gold's in SLC.  He actually helped me get ready for my first show, back in 1999.

He no longer has Custom Fit Nutrition, but they were great shops a few years ago.  He's now doing work with Isagenx, in addition to some acting here and there.

Still a big boy too, I probably see him 3 or 4 times a week.  Great guy.

D'Marko won the Utah State show in 2000. He'd do great if he did the Masters in Pittsburgh.

He was never placed better than 5th at the usa, the last year I attended was I belive 1988 or 89 and thats when morrant droped on stage durring pre judging and after a little IV treatment came back to win at the night show. Chic would rember that. But I think DMarko should have gone pro and I wish he would do some masters shows.

D'Marko actually won the Utah (for the 2nd time) in 1998, not 2000.  Watching him dominate that show is what motivated me to compete the next year.
