It probably won't happen but I'd probably climax on the spot if it were setup to be Pride vs UFC, battle of the best tournament. I'm thinking take the top 4 fighters from each of the same weight classes and match them up in a final four type of tournament. It would utterly amazing.

"The new company that will operate Pride apparently won't be run directly by UFC or Zuffa, but will be its own entity owned by the Fertittas, so that Pride and the UFC will operate separately. It is also being reported that the two promotions will hold a joint super show once per year. SportsHochi reports that Pride 34 on April 8th will be the last Pride show run by DSE."

Bas vs CC/Kharitonov - as far as i know Bas wants to fight, he actually fought last year....and he is still in great shape but looks like Zuffa doesn't want him :-\

Bas came out strong, powerfull, in great shape against Villareal a few months ago + huge improvement on the ground since the Randleman fight....Don't know about now but Bas from back in the day would defiantly be a challenge for CC.

Yeah, he looked good in his last fight but CroCop is on a different level. Back in the day I think it would be a great fight.

Pride has the best fighters, any real MMA fan KNOWS this. Its so far ahead in talent its beyond a joke, how can you not see that?! So Pride was sold, an offer was made and gladly accepted and that makes UFC better? If thats the basis of your logic then you should stop participating in backyard wrestling matches as its affecting your sense of reality mate

It's the keyboard cowboys who come on afterwards acting like they know what they're talking about and that Chuck Liddell is the greatest fighter of all time and Tim Sylvia would destroy that "Fedor guy". Casual fans like you and Bluto are what is wrong with this sport. But hey, keep pumping your money into it and stop talking like you've seen more than 2 fights on Ultimate Fight Night and there wouldn't be a problem. ;)

You're unfairly lumping me into this category. I am a huge fan of Pride. My cousin is stationed in Japan and Pride comes on for FREE on local television access TV. We're talking live events here. He tapes the events and ships them to me once a month. I know who the big names are and I never proclaimed to be an expert on MMA. I've only been following the sport for 5 years. Surely there was a time in your life when you were just starting to get into the sport as well.
Chill out dude. You can be an angry fucker sometimes. But I would imagine studying late at night and cramming for exams can do that to you. Want to know I trick I used to use when I was in school? Right before studying for an all nighter, brew up a full pot of coffee and beat off two times consecutively. It really clears your mind and helps you put a full effort into studying. Also relieves sexual frustration.
Helped me graduate with a 3.7 GPA!
