Title: History will be made at the Muscle Mayhem Championship
Post by: Vince G, CSN MFT on March 31, 2007, 06:19:45 PM
Just practiced my new posing routine for a few friend.  Basically they all busted a gut laughing on the floor.  If you haven't bought any tickets I suggest you do.  This one will be for the record books

See, even the ONE friend you got can't help but laugh at you.  Remember they are laughing AT you not with you.

Vince: how much is your website worth?

Hey, Melvin, what happened to that young wannabe wrestler who spat in your face? According to him you were doing pushups and crazy retard stuff while he was wrestling and he thought WTF is going on there?

Everyone wants to know how you tripped on a bottle going up stairs at the Pre-paid legal convention in the backwoods of the Ozarks.

Do you get the mods to move and delete your threads when you get bagged?

Vince: how much is your website worth?

Its not worth as much as it used it be, it still brings in about 1000-2500 dollars a month in sales.  This month, I only did about 500 dollars.  I've pulled all my ads out of the papers and I'm no longer running any Ebay ads as well and diverting more of my time and attention to Pre-Paid Legal Services since its a lot easier to run and it frees up more of my time

Well, Melvin, how do you expect bodybuilding wannabes to buy stuff from you when you present as a laughing stock here on Getbig. Seems to me you need to think your marketing plan through. If you are considered a joke here no one will buy anything from you except a T-shirt with one of your famous poses on the front!

I still lurk around here. Seriously, until I met Goodrum in the gym, I thought he was pretty loony. He seemed nuts when I would talk to him at those wrestling shows. At the gym he was better. He is one of those guys who has high opinions that he refuses to use reason on. I guess I am saying that he is someone that you would hang around with or talk to about stuff, but he would not be the first guy I asked advice from if I needed something.

Other than that, when you put bodybuilding, pro wrestling, or supplement/super supplement use out of the equation, he is a pretty damn good guy. Just make sure of a few things:

Make sure you still have hub caps when you leave somewhere that he was given access to the parking lot

Don't inject anything he swears by that is not a steroid

and most importantly, take your bee pollen.

:D

Yeah, you're loaded man. $500-$2000/month gross?!?! Damm, awesome!!

So that means your takehome is, what? 5-10%? So you're making a whopping: $25-$200 each and every month of the year!

Wow!! Oh my golly-gee whiz that's amazing!!!

No, no... his take home of his Pre-paid legal is 100%... Until tax time, then he needs the books to look like he operated at a loss.... Not too hard to do actually.

You know Vince your illusion that what you make is good money is actually below poverty level.  I mean you come on here bragging about all the shit you do and then tell us you are kicking ass making $500 or $1000 a month extra.  On top of the awesome $1700 a month or whatever.  Maybe the trailer park you live in is very cheap, is that it.

Along with my full time job right now I have that pays about 3000 a month, it all adds up, fat ass.  Even after I leave, with my experience I can go to any communications job.  I haven't even mentioned my other investments

Multiple sources of income add up onlyme, just like multiple sources of food makes you fatter every day

And as far as the wrestling business is concerned, I've left that far behind

Outside of the push ups, he did a lot of shooting on everything that happened in the ring. By shooting, I mean that he would diss the performance of the guys in the ring. You know, like saying stuff did not look real and so forth. As someone who was supposedly in the business at some point, he should know that you just are not supposed to do that. I told him when we talked later that the best way to keep heat on the match is to act like a fan and over look mistakes and so forth.

Any way, I just remember him saying how he used to do this (wrestling), and should get back into the ring to show us all how it is done. Like he was the best worker in the building, but somehow limited his greatness to ringside. He also insulted how we looked, and continue to pose at ringside.

However I told him about all this stuff on our conversations about it later. The real funny stuff happened later in the parking lot. Remember this was either late 2003 or early 2004, and he looked like those pictures you guys make fun of around here. Anyway, he told me about his business, and offered his training and nutrition services. He also told me about the danger of andro products. I just assumed from looking at him that he was one of those people who looked in the mirror and witnessed something different. Like reverse anorexia. Meanwhile, I had some pretty incredible looking people advising me about lifting elsewhere, so I laughed at the situation.

That night I went from pissed off to really confused. I remember wanting to go to the parking lot to invite him to get in the ring and work me. My intention at that point was to shoot on him in the ring. However he was very nice, and completely different than his in-crowd persona. So I figured that when he told me that stuff about his business that there was something wrong with him. Maybe something mentally wrong, so I simply walked back inside the building.

Remember though, that was only that night. He is still a really cool guy, and he has top notch gym manners. I think he had good intentions that night, but he does not really have the best understanding of how that stuff worked. I personally like the guy, I think he means well. We just agreed to disagree on some things.

Bro, again, at least I was putting my money where my mouth was in the donation bin in part for you and the rest of the workers where you problably wouldn't have even gotten a dime.  Even so, it didn't make a difference.  The WWC promotion in the ground unfortunately and even if Brodie starts it back, there won't be a pot to piss in because everyone won't come unless he charges donation.

Truth is that you should be the one embarrassed.  You guys were wrestling for donations, in a sense like the guy with a saxaphone and a hat on the ground for people to throw nickels and dimes into.  At least I tried to help out, did anyone else???  Fuck no.  Wrestling rules doesn't apply when you are wrestling for NO MONEY.

Now Dev, I've at least been nice enough not to tell everyone why you were kicked out of the WWC.  I have your version of you quiting and I have Brodie's version of him kicking you out.  Honestly, I could care less as it wasn't my business...... ;D

Nick Chunias is a millionaire because he gives 10-12% commission and he keeps the other 30% along with being paid for web design and hosting.  I would do the same too if I could get away with it ;D
Title: Re: History will be made at the Muscle Mayhem Championship

Nick Chunias is a millionaire because he gives 10-12% commission and he keeps the other 30% along with being paid for web design and hosting.  I would do the same too if I could get away with it ;D

That is how I started in bodybuilding online - by paying him $2,000 to start my first website along with $200 a month in hosting and a meager 12% commission.  After six months the website was breaking even and I opted to go for an affiliate model with less financial risk.  I sold the website back to him for $300.

These are the incentives in the program I am currently in (gross sales on the left):

Up to $1,000 = 10%
$1,001-$5,000 = 20%
$5,001+ = 30%

So of course my goal is to hit $5,000 in gross sales as early in the month as possible.  As soon as I hit that I am getting 30% commissions on each order which is pretty good.  What are the margins on supplements?  50%?  It must be higher than 30% or else that would never be offered as a commission.

Me, embarrassed? I was just there to learn how to do things. It was not my fault that certain people in the locker room drove away talent. It was also not my fault that the promoter did not promote the show properly because of the athletic commission. He did not want to promote the thing the way it needed to be promoted. Plus he was pretty good at talking behind people's backs. I would not be surprised if he told you something crazy. You should here what he told me about you. If they will talk shit to you they will talk shit about you.

As far as you donating, I never told you this, but I double checked with them after you told me about your donations. As far as everyone was concerned, you never made those donations. I don't know if they were lying to me, but they said some pretty funny things about you to me.

All in all, I tried to do my best to be honorable at that place. I did not work other shows because the number of people here that are trained piss poor outnumbers the people who know what they are doing. I would never work APW or any other place because I wanted to work with real workers, and not guys who gave the trainer 100 bucks to teach them how to bump.

When all is said and done, you know what I am saying above is true. You had conversations with me, and I never downed anyone without an explanation. I told you that traveling 200 miles, and sharing a hotel room with 20 other guys (what you claimed to do) just to wrestle for 20 bucks was not smart. It is best to perfect your craft and send a tape to Mcmahon to get into the bigs.

So please, tell us all how I got kicked out of the organization. Then tell me why anyone in their right mind would kick anyone out when their talent was so short at the time. I mean, when I left, you had Brodie, Spanky, Mitchelle, Voodoo, and a few others. Tell me why you would of wanted me to leave when your talent consisted of few people.

Anyway, last time I heard from Brodie, it was Tuesday night at 7:00 and I was not there. He called my cell while I was at the gym. That was it.

haha, fuck you.

seriously tho, I really don't know shit about business--just programming. My partners know business. We work synergistically (ohh, nice MLM word, eh?).

Like saying something is "Hardcore" or "Robust"

Hey, Garraeth... side question for you.

How do you like working with Milos? Like what's it like? Is he really attentive, what are you doing with him. I live in LA (just moved out here) and I was thinking of checking out his gym and seeing if he can help my sorry ass.

Jesse says that Melvin didn't put those big donations in the box that he boasted about. Yeah, Goodrum does tend to exaggerate and try to make himself look good. Nice to hear from someone who is honest and who can actually write sentences. So, Melvin has two persona's; a loud, cocky guy for public performances and a nice guy for one on one meetings. We can only imagine meeting a guy like Goodrum who is trying his best to help others! He says he wrestled as Venom Vince Versace but I bet he did what you had to do and that was wrestle for donations. He said his career was short. What career? The guy is a bs-er. He is quite ordinary and hasn't achieved much either professionally or as an athlete or bodybuilder. Thanks for setting the record straight.

Actually, I do not care what a person does for a living, what they look like, or anything else. I value honesty and integrity about people. Living a lifestyle of illusion is not good, and it certaintly is not honest. Vince has the potential to be a good person and good example. I am not saying he is not a good person, I do not know if he is or not beyond what I have seen. He seems nice enough, maybe a little delusional. He told me about Caliber and his telecommunications job, which meant he sold cell phones. Nothing wrong with doing any honest work, but why bullshit about it? "I make pretty good money through my sight, and I also sell cell phones", should be enough.

I do not know why he does what he does on the internet. I would be mortified over my pictures being photoshopped like that. I would also not want the kind of reputation he has on here. I know it is the internet, but still. Why be a laughing stalk anywhere?

Vince, I am not trying to insult you. I made a few jokes on this thread, but thats it. Please tell me what Brodie said about my leaving his organization. Also consider they are closed down, and anyone with any business sense knows what he would do there was sometimes idiotic.

Freaken awesome.

No one in my gym, or any gym I've worked out at pushes as hard as I do (while I'm alone, or with Owen). So to find someone who is able to push me further than I imagined I could go, is exactly what I want...and love.

Funny thing is that I think Milos thought I was a keyboard warrior and/or big-mouth bullshitter (typical getbigger saying they can bench 500 10x, etc...) when I said that. That is definately understandable if he thought that (I don't want to put words into his mouth).

But I fucken love it and wasn't bullshitting ('bout working out the hardest in gyms - AND wanting to be pushed to the limit).

...oh, but if you aren't truly, TRULY, in love with bbing, don't waste your money. Do some self-reflection first. He is not your friend, and will try and break you.

I truly love it... thanks for the advice.

Jesse says that Goodrum is a "little delusional". Yeah, that sounds like the guy we know. The peculiar thing is that Melvin sounds like a confident guy in real life. He gets on Getbig and soon enough is crapping on about how great he is and the lads shoot him down. He comes back for more and more. Something just isn't right about him. I guess most people want to be good at something so when Melvin discovered bodybuilding he must have figured he could be a star and also make money on the net and even train people. The reality is quite removed from fantasy. He posts his certificates after his name thinking people will be impressed. Guys on Getbig merely laugh at such pompous internet credentials. So they challenge Melvin and he posts images and enters hillbilly contests. You have to admit the guy is trying but is doing a moonwalk on this forum. Still, I am sure he is well liked here on Getbig maybe because he persists no matter what. That much you have to admire about Melvin Goodrum.

-Jesse

Dev, how could you verify the donations I made when I made them in cash???  The only time I ever wrote a check to Brodie was for 50 dollars for a training seminar he was hosting and there was only 2 other people there attending.    And also, you can ask Brodie about me handing out fliers promoting your events in Piedmont and Spartanburg to get people to come.

And I did say that I heard two sides of the story and honestly I could care less because I didn't get involved in backstage drama and I already told you what was up.  I remained neutral on that

No-one can ever say I didn't help you folks out when you needed it, especially you. Nowadays, the only involvement I have with wrestling is a few people who still purchase supplements from me.  I haven't even spoken to Brodie in over a year nor Voodoo or Spanky.  Life goes on bro.  As far as them talking shit, I know which fat fuck was talking shit and he actually emailed me on Regal's message board to help him lose weight.  I basically blew him out as he should have never been in the ring.  Guy wouldn't take a bump for someone.  Besides, they are always whining about not making a dime and you know it.

Remember, that was like two years ago. I think you said you sold the cells on the side. I remember reading on Regals board about Brodie bullshitting about some great job with a Fortune 500 company, and then he was spotted in the mall selling phones for Cingular, lol.

A lot changes in 2 years guys, for all I know, Vince is about to buy that phone company.

I don't think I could buy Alltel Communications..... ;D.  And I never sold cell phones for them, I work in the back offices in a cubicle box..... :P  And Brodie actually was selling phones for a few months at Sam's Club but the manager told me that they got rid of him for practically not selling anything and slacking on the job.  I think he's working for NWA Anarchy where he needs to be or working at a gym.

In any case, once I'm laid off, I'll be free to build up my other businesses although I intend to take a month's vacation ;D
