Yes, they should.
Hope this helps.

All the more reason for them to try. They obviously can't change their genes so as long as they enjoy it there's no reason for them not to try. (http://www.ironmagazineforums.com/gallery/data/552/lee1.jpg)

define short. I don't think a "short" guy can do well in something like WSM simply cause he couldn't carry the size to compete... a really strong 5'6 230lbs guy is really big but he'd be going againts guys who are 100lbs heavier.
BB, it doesn't really matter except for at the O, Dave Henry, Lee Priest, Ronny Rockell, Kris Dim...all these guys have done fine on the grand prix circuit it's only at the O that they get screwed..

Anything under 6'4" is short!

We (short people) have the advantage, we usually have better than "average" genetics.

I think that it's generally easier for shorter men to build fantastic physiques, because there's less frame to fill. If you were to instantly remove all the doping, gear, and hormones completely from bodybuilding competition, the best physiques would necessarily be shorter, especially when it comes to legs.
Everyone knows that tall-ass people don't really have builds suited for squatting. Arguably the same goes for deadlifting. Think about it; who was the first comparatively tall BB with decent legs by today's standard? Probably Lee Haney at 5'11". And, of course, is because of Lee Haney's massive intake of gear. Beforehand, you've always had short guys with phenomenal legs...Padilla is the first to come to mind.

Agreed well maybe under 6'2" ;D
Serisouly though i think part of it's bullshit. I mean it's just the fact there's way more short people working out than tall people. No one is not gonna convince me that a short person isn't more motivated to get in shape when compared with a tall person. I mean just goto your average gym it's rare to see alot of people over six foot it's mostly people below average trying to balance out there lack of height. That being said it's also alot more rare for someone to be both tall and have good muscle genetic. Only 1 in 50 or something is over 6 4. Then when you consider the small fraction of that are actually mesomorhp's it's not a surpire Bodybuilders average like 5 8 or whatever
