The answer is yes, but that was the early days of shirts and they did not add the same kind of support that the shirts today do.
By the way, thanks for posting the vids and pimping our banner! :)

That's even before the old Inzer Blast shirt. That shirt he had on there, it may have given him maybe 10 lbs.

They've always given the top guys favorable judging....isn't just a new phenomenon.

Another observation: a lot of very big dudes on the platform, but a whole lot less adipose tissue then you would see today. Are PLers today using being 275+ as an excuse to be 30%+ bodyfat?

And for all naysayers out there: I used to be one of those fat-friendly PLers myself, so I can say this. Competed at 275+ (and 308+ once) when in reality I could lift at 242 and still be just as strong.
